35 species of coprophagous beetles were recorded in Wzgórza Trzebnickie Hills in the western part of Poland in 2003. It is about 41% of all species of this group known from Poland. 19 species are new to the region. The studies concern also phenology of imagines. Remarks on more interesting species are included.

An interesting case of symmetric terathology of Polyphylla fullo antennae was described and illustrated. The author supposes the genetical background of the change.

694 mites belonging to 16 species were collected from 67 specimens of G. spiniger and 2314 mites belonging to 17 species were collected from 118 specimens of G. stercorarius. The most common were the following species: Alliphis halleri, Macrocheles glaber, Scarabaspis inexpectatus and Scamaphis equestris. Macrocheles scutatus, Glyptholaspis americana and Parasitus consanguineus are new for the Polish fauna.

The results of the investigation of archeoentomological materials from Wrześnica (NW Poland) are presented. 209 specimens belonging to Scarabaeoidea (Coleoptera) were noted: 202 of Oryctes nasicornis, 5 Dorcus parallelipipedus, 1 Oxythyrea funesta and 1 Aphodius sp. The role of the archeoentomological materials in process of reconstructing the environment conditions in ancient periods is discussed.

A new subfamily Vereoxiinae among Canestriniidae is created for the new genus Vereoxia with one species V. bogeri n. sp. Four new canestriniid species are described: Gasuthiana melillae n. sp. from undetermined Tenebrionidae, Brazil, Afrocanestrinia rufinae n. sp. from Smaragdesthes oertzeni, Tanzania, A. samsoni n. sp. from S. africana, Senegal, Canestriniella phoebinae n. sp. from Batocera albofasciata octomaculata, Java. New diagnosis of the genera Gasuthiana, Afrocanestrinia and Canestriniella are given.
