The new methods of neutralizing the construction wastes containing asbestos. In this paper the issue of the disposal of dangers related to the accumulation of asbestos in the Polish territory is presented. The scale as well as the origin of the danger of asbestos to human health and the pollution of the environment has been illustrated. To data in Poland, the only available method of utilization asbestos waste was storage on the landfi ll. The new legislation allows to minimize the amount of asbestos waste by usage of new technologies. The aim of this article is review and evaluation of available, safe methods of asbestos disposal.
