W wywarach zbożowym i ziemniaczanym pochodzących z gorzelni w Mordach i Krzesku Majątku z okolic Siedlec oznaczono zawartość suchej masy (g/dm3) oraz Pb, Cr, Cd, Ni, Fe, Al(mg/kg s.m.). Zawartość suchej masy i oznaczonych pierwiastków wynosiła średnio i wahała się w granicach: w wywarze zbożowym s.m. 49,5 (39,0-71,0); Pb - 2,20 (1,18,02); Cr - 0,718 (0,590-0,801 ); Cd - 0,028 (0,019-0,036); Ni - 0,0 (0,0--0,0); Fe - 437 (305-581 ); Al - 90,7 (80,4-104); a w wywarze ziemniaczanym s.m. - 60,3 (42,0-79,0); Pb - 3,33 ( 1,434,55): Cr - 0,808 (0,615-0,904); Cd - 0,279 (0,201-0,358); Ni - 0,602 (0,082-1,26); Fe - 908 (686-1283); Al 548 (463-649).

The content of dry matter (g/dm3) and the concentration of Pb, Cr, Cd, Ni, Fe and Al (mg/kg D.M.) in rye and potato worts produced in the distillery at Mordy and Krzesk Majątek near Siedlce were determined by means of common analytical methods used in agriculture. In the rye wort the content of D.M. was 49.5 g/dm3 and the values of determined elements and their ranges, specified in parenthesis, were as follows: Pb - 2.20 ( 1.18-4.02); Cr - 0.718 (0.590-0.801 ); Cd - 0.028 (0.019-0.036); Ni - 0.0 (0.0-0.0); Fe - 437 (305-581 ); AI - 90.7 (80.4-104). In the potato wort the content of D.M. was 60.3 g/dm(3) and the values of determined elements and their ranges, specified in parenthesis, were as follows: Pb - 3.33 (1.43-4.55): Cr - 0.808 (0.615-0.904); Cd - 0.279 (0.201-0.358); Ni - 0.602 (0.082-1.26); Fe - 908 (686-1283); Al - 548 (463-649).

The fertilizing value of rye, potato and molasses decoctions was evaluated in a microplot experiment, in which maize and turnip were used as testing plants. Based on the analysis of chemical composition of decoctions it was found that these decoctions used as fertilizing material were unbalanced with respect to their N, P and K contents. The potato decoction is characterized by the most favourable N:K ratio from the point of view of the nutritional requirements of plants. The rye decoction contains too little potassium and that from molasses - too much of this element in relation to N content. The use of the molasses decoction in fertilizing is possible after its correction with phosphorus. The rye decoction requires correction with potassium for appropriate use in fertilization. In addition, application of the decoctions studied caused an increase in the organic C and total N contents in soil and improvements in the sorption properties of soil. The molasses decoction caused a decrease in the available forms of P in soil. The decoctions applied in experiments considerably increased yields and nutrient content in plants studied, both in the direct and after- effect.
