Pumps consume energy, so they should be characterized by maximal efficiency. When a specific speed and flow rate decrease, to obtain high efficiency is very difficult (if specific speed is lower than 15 and flow rate is extremely low, the efficiency is such low that pumps with centrifugal impellers are not built). This paper is a part of bigger project about impellers with extremely low specific speed and encompasses results of numerical investigation (CFD) of an influence of a impeller geometrical features on a energy transmission process in range of extremely low specific speed.
