Majority of data files available on web servers cointains not only various data formats. They are linked together into composition producing sequences that have to be read frame by frame – in a movie mode. Surgery operations are very often recorded on video than stored as a data files in computing centre of the hospital. The multimedia database design methods have to consider many rules that must be integrated to obtain several standards for simplifying the application development and for fast exploration of the product. The paper presents several aspects of the design technique giving a unified composition of the project, modularity of the application and the navigation standards within the product.

The network databases structure makes various difficulties with accessibility and information flow. The fundamental solution for such problems is to adjust the database structure to the user requirements. For medical applications the database may contain some multimedia content that additionally complicates data searching and transmission. The most important issue for network database is the security of data records. The database system has to launch the task of access protection and access limitation of legalised users. This paper treats about the multimedia database structure available in the intranet node.

Many works has recently been done within presentation databases attributes development. The multimedia applications use various graphical interfaces and rich formats of graphics, animation and various audio effects. Although many efforts have already been done on this field new challenge one can observe that provide the Internet application [1], [2]. The paper shows the database organisation for multimedia applications available on web servers.
