Titanium dioxide is mainly used as an excellent white pigment. A serious disadvantage of titanium dioxide production using sulphate route process is a large amount of wastes being formed during titania raw material processing. These wastes form iron (II) sulphate heptahydrate, FeSO47H2O and spent solution of sulphuric acid. This work shows the method enabling the utilization of waste iron (II) sulphate originated from the titanium dioxide production by using it for the preparation of precipitated iron oxides. Precipitated iron oxides can be used as a raw material for preparing ferric coagulating agents like aqueous solution of iron (III) sulphate and iron (III) chloride. They may also be used for iron oxides pigments preparation which can be applied in building materials industry.
