W pracy przedstawiono przebieg i wyniki badań dotyczących identyfikacji struktur, określenia wartości udziału objętościowego faz i wartości oporu przepływu mieszaniny wodno-olejowej. Materiał badawczy umożliwił dokonanie klasyfikacji struktur pod kątem określenia podstawowych form przepływu dwufazowego ciecz-ciecz, charakterystycznych dla tego rodzaju mieszaniny. W celu określenia zakresów występowania tych form opracowano mapę przepływu dwufazowego woda-olej smołowy. Podano także sposoby obliczania udziału objętościowego faz i oporów przepływu.

Course and results of researches relating identification of structures, determination of value of voluminal ratio of phase and value of resistance of water-oil mixture flow (with the higer density of oil than water) are described in the paper. Investigative material made possible execution of classification of structures with determination of basis forms of liquid-liquid two-phase flow, characteristic of this kind of the mixture. In the order to determination of ranges of occurrence these forms, a map of two-phase flow of water-tar oil is worked out. There's also described manners of calculation of voluminal ratio of phases and flow resistances.

Przedstawiono wyniki doświadczeń nad odparowaniem filmowym cieczy spływającej po wewnętrznej ściance rury pionowej. Badania przeprowadzono dla metanolu, izopropanolu i wody, przy strumieniu cieplnym dochodzącym do 31 kW/m2. Potwierdzono doświadczalnie słuszność korelacji Chun i Seban dla niskich wartości strumienia cieplnego, zarówno dla przepływu laminarnego i burzliwego. Na podstawie danych doświadczalnych opracowano korelację obejmującą zakres występowania odparowania pęcherzykowego.

The results of experimental studies have been presented for the evaporation of liquid film flowing down inside a vertical tube. Experiments were performed for methanol, isopropanol and water, with heat flux up to 31 kW/m2. The Chun and Seban correlation was verified experimentally for low values of heat flux, where nucleate boiling is not developed. Based on experimental data the correlation for nucleate boiling region was presented.

Analysis of transient natural convective flow of a nanofluid in a vertical tube

An analysis into the transient natural convective flow of a nanofluid in a vertical tube is made. The governing equations of momentum, heat transfer and nanoparticle volume fraction are deduced, and the influence of the thermophoresis parameter and Brownian motion is incorporated. By direct integration and variation of the parameter, analytical solutions are obtained for flow formation and heat/mass transfer at steady-state. On the other hand, due to the complexity of same problem at transient state, a numerical solution is used to solve the discretized equations of motion using the implicit finite difference technique. The influence of the thermophoresis parameter and Brownian motion is noted and well discussed. For accuracy check, a numerical comparison is made between the steady state and transient state solution at large time; this comparison gives an excellent agreement. The role of various principal parameters on velocity profile, temperature, concentration of nanoparticles, Sherwood and Nusselt numbers are presented graphically and well discussed. It is noted that the buoyancy ratio decreases the fluid velocity significantly.
