This paper presents experimental investigations of audible noise within the range of frequency 31,5 + 8000 Hz in selected rail-vehicles EN-57, EU-07 and ET-22. Herein the level of audible acoustic pressure that influenced the driver in different working conditions with fixed travel speed is described.

W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję zespołu wielorobotowego wykonującego zadanie transportowe w otoczeniu przemysłowym, na przykład w hali fabrycznej. Idea systemu polega na poruszaniu się grupy robotów po wcześniej zdefiniowanym, wspólnym grafie w ten sposób, że nie może wystąpić kolizja pomiędzy robotami, nie mogą się one zakleszczyć a droga robotów i czas realizacji zadania musi być optymalny dla całego zespołu. Ponadto prezentowany system jest systemem rozproszonym, z minimalną komunikacją pomiędzy agentami.

In this article a model of group of mobile robots which executes a transportation task in an industrial environment is presented. The robots move on a previously defined graph. The task is that collision or deadlock must not occur and the path and execution time must be optimal for the whole team. The presented system is distributed with minimal communication among agents.

In the elaboration, idea of fast hovercraft transporation to rescue area is described. Conditions of safe task realization are analyzed in research, designing and logistic works. Conduct procedure of hovercraft launching to life-saving operations is suggested. The main aim of that project is finding answer how better and faster to get to people whom life is in danger after catastrophe (aircraft or on the sea) and destination place is hardly accesible.

W pracy przedstawiono koncepcję szybkiego transportu poduszkowca w rejon prowadzenia akcji ratowniczej. Przeanalizowano niezbędne warunki do realizacji zadania: prace badawcze, logistyczne i konstrukcyjne. Zaproponowano schemat postępowania pozwalający w optymalny sposób włączyć poduszkowiec ratowniczy do prowadzonej akcji ratunkowej. W rozważaniach założono szczególnie trudne warunki terenowe zaistnienia katastrofy np. lotniczej lub morskiej. Powodem głównym, dla którego przedstawiono projekt jest bezpośrednie zagrożenie życia ludzi uczestniczących w katastrofie.

W artykule omówiono możliwości wykorzystania tych zalet do transportu rurociągami innych niż płyny dóbr konsumpcyjnych. Omówiono warunki oraz niezbędne do wykonania prace badawcze umożliwiające wdrożenie takiego systemu.

The existing systems of gas and liquid pipelines are able to transport them over long distances, environment friendly, safely, at low cost (low energy consumption), and without collisions with other means of transport. The possibilities of the transport of other (not fluid) goods is worth consideration. In the paper the advantages of the pipeline transport have been discussed together with the perspectives of the pipeline transport of the other consumer goods. Finally, the conditions and research necessary to introduce such transport system have been presented.

The Egnatia Motorway, located in the northern part of Greece, constitutes one of the most important, as well as ambitious, projects of the Trans-European Transport Networks programme (TETN) funded by the European Commission. It is expected to greatly influence the spatial economic relationships of several regions across the country. The motorway crosses all administrative regions of Northern Greece, and the expectations currently sustained by the public as regards its contribution to regional development are exceptionally great. As numerous empirical studies have already shown, the most important changes in regional economy induced by interregional transportation infrastructure are associated with trade flows between different regions. This paper analyses the major determinants of interregional trade in Greece and estimates the changes in interregional trade flows which the construction of the Egnatia Motorway is capable of generating.

The paper deals with a special case of supply networks that consist of three interconnected subsystems: raw material warehouses, production units and product warehouses. The purpose of the decision-making for such systems is to allocate a raw material among parallel production units and to determine transportation plans for the raw material and for a product in such a way as to minimize the total cost connected with the production and the transportation. The solution algorithm for a special case of supply networks, where all production units can produce the same amount of the product from a unit of the raw material, is presented. It is based on a special decomposition of the problem which allows us to determine the solution consecutively for the increasing number of production units involved in the manufacture, starting from the case with only one production unit. A sufficient condition for the optimal solution is proved, and the properties of the algorithm are presented.

W referacie zaprezentowano wykorzystanie metodyki wielokryterialnego wspomagania decyzji (WWD ) do oceny wariantów podróży różnymi środkami transportu publicznego i indywidualnego (autobus, kolej i samochód osobowy). Obszar zainteresowania autorów skupił się na Poznańskim Powiecie Ziemskim. Pod uwagę wzięto kilka możliwości dojazdu z Kórnika, Swarzędza i Tarnowa Podgórnego do wybranych punktów w Poznaniu. Stu-dentowi i przedsiębiorcy zaproponowano po pięć wariantów dojazdów, które oceniono za pomocą wspólnej rodziny kryteriów, przy założonych modelach preferencji decydentów. Rozważania przeprowadzono z wykorzystaniem metody WWD -ELECTRE III, przedstawiając wyniki w postaci rankingu finalnego.

In the current research, we surveyed the effective factors of accidents that had occurred on the road from Hamadan to Sanandaj. Road transportation is an inseparable part and the backbone of all transportation networks of most countries. Driving accidents are considered the major problem of road transportation and the increment process of accidents is so that it has reached crisis proportions. Basically, in road accidents, three factors are considered to be of importance: human activity, road and vehicle condition. The current research is a field study in the terms of data collection method and is considered to be Applied Research in the terms of purpose (or objective) and studied subject nature. The study population consists of suburban public transport fleet drivers working the Sanandaj - Hamadan road (26 persons). The tool was a questionnaire. In order to analyze the statistical data, the resulting information from the questionnaires were firstly extracted and then analysed by applying the Pearson correlation test. The results show that there is a clear relationship between the effective factors of accidents and road accidents.

This contribution presents activities of Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport and Communications that support increase of qualification and requalification of Transport Department employees. During its nearly 55-year existence, the faculty has always been cooperating consistently with practice, transport enterprises and institutions of road, railway, air and water transport. The faculty profile itself has been created so that it educates experts for the practice requirements. However, the cooperation with the practice does not end in this activity; it gets on with the cooperation during increase of transport specialist qualification in form of courses, trainings and workshops organisation. Moreover, the individual faculty working-positions participate in solutions of the projects targeting on current practice problems, they provide consultative, advisory and expertise services for the needs of practice, government and non-government institutions, and participate in legislation preparation.

The contribution will be dedicated to present condition of professional education for transportation sector in Slovakia, mainly engineering education and to tendencies in curricula related to changes of environment, policy, markets etc. Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport and Communications at the University of Žilina, is the only university specializing in manager preparation in the transportation sector and communications in Slovakia. The University of Žilina`s mission is sub served very consistently. Therefore, there are many changes and qualitative developments at the university education approach characteristic of the University of Žilina, by operating qualitative shifts in a form of education, educational methods or the educational content. But the success of these shifts depends largely on factors occurs from the outside and inside university environment. The needs of industry are concentrated on the knowledge and skills of engineers including the communication skills and ethic solution problems.

One of the most popular method of vibrating systems analysis is dynamical flexibility method. This method makes possible the assignment of stability bands. The thesis is applied to the free-free damped beam systems analysis. The beam is loaded by transversal unitary force in accordance with a dynamical flexibility definition. In a mathematical model Coriolis forces, centrifugal forces and damping forces were took into the consideration. The damping forces enable active vibration control and can change dynamical characteristics of the system.

A survey of biomechanical models of the human body was carried out, as well as investigations of the mathematical model of the dynamics of the biomechanical system in the sitting position. This allowed a comparison between the model investigation results in the field of frequency and experimental investigation r esults.

Dokonano przeglądu biomechanicznych modeli człowieka oraz przeprowadzono badania modelu matematycznego dynamiki układu biomechanicznego w pozycji siedzącej, które pozwoliły na porównanie wyników badań modelowych w dziedzinie częstotliwości z wynikami badań eksperymentalnych.

We analyse the effectiveness of catastrophe bonds for the financial management of catastrophic risk in the transport and infrastructure industries. We illustrate how these financial instruments are becoming a valuable tool for non-financial firms in the risk management of catastrophic events, supplementing the traditional insurance/reinsurance channel, especially during times of constraints in the insurance industry. We also review cat bond issues sponsored by infrastructure and transport companies, highlighting the usefulness of these structured financial instruments in the management of the catastrophe exposure in these industries. Policy indications are finally given.
