The article analize the agrarian reforms in the 1920th on the lands of Dziekonski family (Pruzany powiet, Poleski region). In 1919 Marian Tadeush Dziekonski sold the part of the grounds to the inhabitant of Mogilno Juzef Draheim. After the dearth of Marian Tadeush his son Janush began the costs against Draheim with the purpose of returning of paternal possession. In 1926 the courts were completed by a signing of the treaty. After that Draheim selled the grounds to the domestic peasants, as that was required by agrarian reform. Janush Dziekonski demonstrated to authorities the necessity of conservation of his economy, as the plants of high agronomian culture. The considerable proportion of his manor was saved in an integrity. However the progressing of an agriculture in the given direction was discontinued by entry Western Belarus in composition BSSR.

In the context of current integration of EU member states the author makes an attempt at examining whether assisting moral quality of European integration by ecumenical Christian communities and churches would or not constitute making their ecumenical aspirations more profound. For, on the one hand, they remain the only institutional organism capable of such moral actions and at the same time in a way called for the good of EU communities; on the other hand, their mutual engagement from the perspective of evaluation of moral quality of EU member states integration would allow not only to contribute to achieving integration aims of the western-European societies, but also – in a way simultaneously – laying more solid grounds for the created through integrated moral actions Ecumenical community.

In this article, it is argued that the economic and political transformation in Central and Eastern European countries towards the end of the twentieth century towards a market economy were irreversible and path dependent. The author discusses the importance of this issue for the success of transformation policies, as well as the significance of the role of the European Union for supporting good governance as a condition for successful transformation.

W niniejszym artykule stwierdzono, że ekonomiczna i polityczna transformacja w krajach Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej pod koniec dwudziestego wieku w kierunku gospodarki rynkowej była nieodwracalna i wynikała ze ścieżki zależności. Autor omawia znaczenie tych kwestii dla sukcesu polityki transformacji, a także znaczenie roli Unii Europejskiej dla wspierania dobrego współrządzenia (ang.: good governance) jako warunku skutecznej transformacji.

There have been several canonical studies on the historiography of the political history of the systemic transformation in Poland still constitute a point of reference for researchers today. At the same time, however, the dynamic growth of the source base and the increasing popularity of post-structuralist scientific trends resulted in the fact that the research perspective characteristic of this canon is aging rapidly. The analysis and comments formulated in this text are an attempt at balancing the strengths and weaknesses of the historiography of the political history of the systemic transformation to date and an attempt to indicate how it potentially could develop further.

Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia, na podstawie prac badawczych zrealizowanych w ścisłej współpracy przez Marię Halamską i Marie-Claude Maurel, bilans transformacji ekonomicznej i społecznej w Europie Środkowej w okresie postkolektywistycznym. Po zdefiniowaniu ram poznawczych i metodologicznych wspomnianych badań omówimy etapy, które wyznaczają granice czasowe zmiany systemowej – od odejścia od kolektywizmu aż po rekompozycję terenów wiejskich – ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem różnorodności kierunków rozwoju obszarów wiejskich.

The article presents an economic and social assessment of the post-collectivist period in Central Europe based on the research work conducted in closed cooperation by Maria Halamska and Marie-Claude Maurel. After defining the methodological and epistemological conditions underlying fieldwork, the study retraces temporal stages of the system change, from the time of decolectivisation to the reshaping of rural areas, underlining the diversity of the rural trajectories.
