The working characteristics of a three-dimensional slider bearings of different shapes lubricated by a non-newtonian film, modeled as a Generalized Newtonian Fluid, are computed. The rheological models chosen in this study include Herschel-Bulkley, Bingham, power-law and Rabinowisch. The evolution of the pressure and the thermal fields, according to the lubricant characteristics, are presented and discussed. Furthermore, the hydrodynamic load and the friction coefficient are evaluated according to the fluid type and the slider bearings.
