W żegludze morskiej funkcjonuje termin 'statek maksymalny'. W praktyce termin ten jest rozumiany intuicyjnie i nie jest dokładnie definiowany. W prowadzonych badaniach inżynierii ruchu morskiego, bardzo mocno związanych z praktyką, termin ten jest stosowany również. W pracy opisano parametry określające wielkość statku oraz zdefiniowano termin 'statek maksymalny'.

The expression 'shipmax' is used in navigation. This term is understood rather intuitively and is not precisly defined. In sea traffic engineering research, linked with practice, the expression is also used. In the paper parameters describing the size of a ship are presented and the definition of the term 'shipmax' is given.

Przypomina, że w przeszłości używano w Polsce różnych nazw zależnie od charakteru drogi. Może warto rozważyć przywrócenie niektórych nazw?

He gives various synonyms of the word "road" in English, French, German and in Czech and Russian as well. He remembers that various names of road depending on its character had been used in the past. May it be worth to consider the restoration of some old names?

Terminology in hydrology - relatively young science, remains under influence of geophysical, geo-graphical and engineering sciences. Author indicates incorrect terminology, which makes under-standing of scientific texts difficult, and shows necessity of language correctness in speech and writing. He draws attention to necessity of proper science names applying, which derive from di-verse hydrology development, which in 18th and 19th century represented science about mineral and medicinal water. Earlier term hydrology appeared, representing knowledge about water in the Earth and tater - hydrologic services. Author presents correct names of areal hydrologic units and depicts wrong terms connected with water balance concept. In closing author mentions research on hydrological names as a branch of geographical onomastics and Polish and German publications containing correct names of water bodies in Poland.

The concept of enterprise has its own settled and consolidated position in economics and other allied sciences nowadays. Without „enterprise”, one of the most important term, there is no debate in the area of economics, logistics and even politics. Accordingly it is worth to focus on the issue of enterprise and its significance. All the available literature on enterprise takes into consideration many options of the idea of enterprise. A wide range of meanings seems to set out to define enterprise more precisely. To solve that problem means to compose terminology of science, to set an interchangeable meaning for enterprise. No doubt, it will influence the term to be more expressive. The author of the article describes in outline the context of enterprise, trying to show both variance and similarity in the enterprise based on some definitions. The enterprise concept is a subject of considerable debate although the article might contribute a number of studies towards liability to have a good grasp of the meanings of enterprise.
