Education needs good, intelligent multimedia programs which are systems based on knowledge and which use the following functions: diagnosis, recognition, interpretation, etc. System agent is a modern, intelligent interface between the user and the computer network. The paper presents some theories and applications of intelligent agents and multi-agent systems. Among the wide spectrum of intelligent agent's applications are definitely the information retrieval, individual information service, mailing, calendar. The role of the intelligent software agents has been increasing over the years and the main effect of this phenomena is the automatic performance of functions without the involvement of the user. The intelligent agent is able to cooperate with other agents and it needs to know where it can get the information from.

Tadeusz Łopuszański to form today a little forgotten, but wrongly. During the Second Republic was an active politician, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Public Education in the government of Leopold Skulski and Wladyslaw Grabski.
