The article presents the problem of increasing the performance of the jaw crusher, reducing the crushing power and moment. For this purpose, information about kinematic analysis jaw movements was provided on the example of a single toggle jaw crusher. The analysis was carried out using three variants of fixation of the supporting toggle plate. The jaw load and energy consumption in the crushing process, was calculated using kinematically admissible failure mechanisms. The crushing material was described by linear Coulomb-Mohr rigid perfectly plastic model. The presented results show that higher performance is achieve for less distance of the support toggle plate, for greater distance of the support decrease in crushing force, moment load and energy value was calculated.
