Reactions of N-aryl-N-(4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazo-2-yl)-hydroxylamines 1a-d with methanesulfonyl chloride in the presence of triethylamine afforded 2,3-dihydroimidazo[1,2-a]benzimidazoles 2a-d. The latter compounds treated with acetic anhydride, methane or phenylsulfonyl chlorides gave N-1 acetyl or N-1 methane or phenylsulfonyl derivatives 3a-d and 4a-b, respectively.

The aim of this paper is to verify the methodology of measuring social capital in the research conducted by the representatives of territorial self-governments in the Wielkopolska region. The research was conducted in six intentionally selected powiats (administrative districts) of this Voivodeship; five compared and one comparative accepted as a model. The aim of this paper was achieved using the direct interview questionnaire method. Empirical data was compared using the statistical methods (correlation, classification, principal components) and comparative profiles and visualizations. The results of this analysis made it possible to confirm the usefulness of those methods in reaching the goal of this paper and to verify the working hypotheses. The implemented methods made it possible to: measure the level and structure of social capital; identify the size of social capital’s gap and identify the key attributes of social capital.

A numerical algorithm is presented for the filling process of a cylindrical column with equilateral cylinders. The process is based on simplified mechanics - the elements are added one by one until the mechanical equilibrium is reached. The final structure is examined with respect to the global and local porosity distribution. Oscillating radial porosity profile is obtained in accordance with experimental data.

The thermic welding of rails is carried out in the following sequence: a mould is placed on the rails to be joined; a crucible is mounted on a special bracket; a portion of thermite is charged; the rail ends are pre-heated and thermite is ignited by a special ignition primer. On Latvian Railway, the use of the thermic welding is widespread using the Elektro-Thermit Company technology. Today it is a basic method for rail joints.The analysis of the metal structure in the thermic welded zone of rails showed that the weld metal had inclusions of iron oxides infused (FeO, Fe2O3, and Fe3O4) and small pores. Pores and infused oxides are concentrators of stresses and sources of cracks development. Pores and infused oxides reduce hardness of the weld joint under the action of tensile forces.

The aim of the research is to compare the level of farm equipment with agricultural machinery and devices improving production as well as to evaluate the quality of the equipment measured by its age, in Małopolska region and in south Lithuania. The empirical material constituted the results of the survey in 2017 in 144 farms in Małopolska and 70 farms in Lithuania. Questions taken into account in the research concerned power and age of tractors and combines, number of chosen machines and agricultural devices used according to the farm profile. The analysis of the material completed after the survey allows for the conclusion that the structure of technical equipment of farms both in Małopolska anf south Lithuania has undergone positive changes, especially in case of farms of average and large areas (15–20 hectares of arable land and >20 hectares of arable land). These farms, having the opportunity of easier access to credits and investment subventions, try to introduce general changes within machinery backup. At the same time the oldest equipment – often used more than 20 years, finds its place in farms of smallest areas of arable land.

Apolynuclear silver(I) cluster polymer [(Et4N)(Ag2I3)]n 1 with iodo-bridging ligands has been prepared by low-temperature solid-state reaction. Single crystal X-ray analyses reveal that compound 1 possesses a new type of one-dimensional (1-D) structure. The cluster anion of the title compound can be described as polymeric chain with [Ag2I2] plane. This cluster polymer shows nice third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) absorption and refraction with absorption coefficient alfa 2 = 9.1×10-11 mźw-1 and refractive index n2 = -3.4×10-17 m2źw-1 in a 2.6×10-4 molźdm-3 DMF solution.

In the article the content and structure of the model of readiness of primary school teachers to introduce technology for survival in professional activities, built through theoretical researchesof the problems of primary school teachers’ readiness to form self-preserving skills in younger students in educational activities, the semantic aspect of the model of primary school teachers’ readiness to introduce technology into professional self-preservation activities, a brief description of the purpose and course “Fundamentals of care for children and adults” are presented. The survey method and the method of Socratic conversation are used. Definition of perspective directions of our research is inextricably linked to objective assessment of the real state of the methodological work of secondary school teacher to self-preserving activity. High level of readiness of primary school teachers to introduce technology requires consideration of the principles of self-preservation: emotion, accessibility, systematic, consciousness, activity, clarity, and individually oriented approaches. Thus, the willingness of the primary school teachers to implement technologies for survival –the system of a complex structural motives, traits, attitudes, a particular interest in the organization of work, professional knowledge, skills and experience. The integrity of the system is determined by the full development of each component, i.e.mutually caused bythe unity of affective, cognitive and technological components in the structure of the elementary school teacher’s readiness to corresponding activity. The above mantioned structure of the primary school teachers’ readiness continue to be treated as a continuous process of professional activity as nucleation stage in the educational space of Ukrainian innovative model of elementary school teacher who is willing to enhance his/her health culture, fluent technique and organization of cognitive, environmental, rehabilitation, psychotherapy and communication of junior pupils in the special conditions of the natural and social environment.

Development of the simulation software of the technological processes such as forging and heat treatment provides the application of the optimization the technology for achievement the established level of mechanical properties and structure. In the work was considered prediction of the structure and properties using the parameter of Ziner-Holomon for hot forging technology of aluminum wheels. The investigations were performed for the most critical zones of the forged parts such as web, crown, upper and lower flanges of the wheels. Optymalizacja procesów kucia oraz obróbki cieplnej w celu osiągnięcia zadanych właściwości mechanicznych oraz odpowiedniej struktury materiałowej możliwa jest dzięki rozbudowie oprogramowania przeznaczonego do symulacji tych dwóch procesów. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono metodę modelowania struktury oraz właściwości materiałowych przy użyciu parametru Zenera-Holomona dla procesu kucia na gorąco felg aluminiowych. Badania przeprowadzono dla najbardziej krytycznych obszarów kutej części takich jak żebra usztywniające czy też dolnego i górnego kołnierza. Metody modelowania struktury zastosowane zostały dla kucia na gorąco dla felg z aluminium AB na prasie hydraulicznej z dzieloną matrycą.

Przedstawiono opis modelu obwodowego oraz analizę mechaniczną z uwzględnieniem tłumienia w ośrodkach lepkich takich jak powietrze. Mikroprzełącznik charakteryzuje znikomymi oscylacjami podczas przełączania, przy odpowiednim doborze rozmiarów elementów sprężystych oraz elementów napędowych charakterystyka przełączania jest aperiodyczna.

Described is the complex model of an electrostatic comb-drive microstructure MEMS. Such a system can be used as a transparent optical cross-connect in DWDM networks. Presented is description of a circuit model as well as the mechanic analysis considering damping effect in a viscous medium like air. The microswitch is characterized by minimal oscillations during switching and when elastic elements dimensions and drive elements are properly selected, its switching characteristic becomes aperiodic.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to present the technique of manufacturing the composite materials based on porous ceramic preforms infiltrated by liquid aluminium alloy and examination of the structure and corrosion resistance of those materials. Design/methodology/approach: The material for investigations was manufactured by pressure infiltration method of ceramic porous preforms. The eutectic aluminium alloy EN AC-AlSi12 was use as a matrix while as reinforcement were used ceramic preforms manufactured by sintering of Al₂O₃ Alcoa CL 2500 powder with addition of pore forming agents as carbon fibres Sigrafil C10 M250 UNS manufactured by SGL Carbon Group Company. To determine the corrosion resistance, corrosion test by potentiodynamic method were made consisting in registering the anode polarization curves using the measurements system consisting of the potentiostat PGP-201 working with the Radiometer Copenhagen VoltaMaster 4 software. Findings: The received results show the possibility of obtaining the new composite materials with required structure and corrosion resistance depends of the volume fraction of the reinforcing phase. Practical implications: The composite materials manufactured by the developed method can find application among the others in automotive, aircraft or marine industry as the alternative material for elements fabricated from unreinforced aluminium alloys. Originality/value: The obtained results show the possibility of manufacturing the composite materials by the method of porous sintered framework pressure infiltration based on the ceramic particles, characterized with the better corrosion resistance than aluminium alloy used as the matrix.

The processes of electrosynthesis, electrochemical behaviour and electrochromic properties of polyaminoarenes of different nature and position of substitutents in benzene ring - poly-o-(m)- aminophenols, poly-o-toluidine, poly-o-methoxyaniline and polyaniline have been studied in aqueous acid electrolytes. It has been shown that particularities of electrochemical and electrochromic transitions in polyaminoarene films obtained on SnO2 electrodes are defined by the charge transport parameters depending on the molecular structure of the polymers, type of electrolyte anion and associated with an ion-diffusion phenomena on the polymer-solution interface.

The effect of deposition temperature on the structural and optical properties of amorphous hydrogenated silicon (a-Si:H) thin films deposited by plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition (PECVD) from silane diluted with hydrogen was under study. The series of thin films deposited at the deposition temperatures of 50–200°C were inspected by XRD, Raman spectroscopy and UV Vis spectrophotometry. All samples were found to be amorphous with no presence of the crystalline phase. Ordered silicon hydride regions were proved by XRD. Raman measurement analysis substantiated the results received from XRD showing that with increasing deposition temperature silicon-silicon bond-angle fluctuation decreases. The optical characterization based on transmittance spectra in the visible region presented that the refractive index exhibits upward trend with increasing deposition temperature, which can be caused by the densification of the amorphous network. We found out that the scale factor of the Tauc plot increases with the deposition temperature. This behaviour can be attributed to the increasing ordering of silicon hydride regions. The Tauc band gap energy, the iso-absorption value their difference were not particularly influenced by the deposition temperature. Improvements of the microstructure of the Si amorphous network have been deduced from the analysis.

This cluster polymer shows strong third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) absorption and refraction with absorption coefficient alfa 2 = 8.9 × 10-10 m_w-1 and refractive index n2 = -6.6 × 10-17 m2. w-1.

This review covers heteropolynuclear platinum complexes. There are over sixty examples with heterometal atoms as partners including non- transition metals, K, Cs, Mg, Ca, Sr, Tl, Sn, Pb, Zn, Cd, and transition metals: Cu, Ag, Fe, Co, Ni, Rh and Pd. In addition, there are examples for the lanthanides, Eu and Yb. The most common are Ag (x16) and K (x14). The predominant geometries for Pt(II) is square-planar and for Pt(IV) is octahedral. The overall structures are complex. In spite of the wide variety of heterometal atoms partners of platinum, there is “real” Pt-M bonds only with silver, ranging from 2.678 to 2.943(I) Å (ave 2.855 Å). The mean Pt-Pt bond distance is 2.869 Å.
