We summarize recent experimental and theoretical investigations of superconducting materials, where pairing between fermions can be either induced by phonons, magnons, or mediated by some other boson field. On a macroscopic level these phenomena lead to a highly coherent transport manifested by the loss of electric resistance in the case of charged particles like electrons and holes or by the loss of viscosity (superfluidity) in the case of of chargeless particles such as 3He or trapped ultracold atoms.
