The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the soil fertilizer UGmax on zinc, copper and manganese contents in potato tubers. A three – year field experiment was carried out on soil which belonged to a very good rye complex. The experiment was established according to randomized split-plot method, in three replications. The following factors were examined: factor I: edible potato varieties (Satina and Typhoon), and factor II: doses and timing of UGmax application. As a result of conducted research, significantly smaller copper content in potato tubers was found, after usage of the soil preparation UGmax, in comparison with a control object, while zinc and manganese content continued to show only a downward trend. The influence of weather conditions and potato varieties on the copper cumulation in the dry mass of potato tuber was proved. An important influence of the factors of the experiment on the uptake of researched macroelements with the potato tuber yield was also shown.
Badania polowe przeprowadzono w latach 2009-2010. Doświadczenie założono metodą losowanych podbloków, w trzech powtórzeniach, jako dwuczynnikowe. Celem podjętych badan było określenie wpływu Użyźniacza Glebowego UGmax na plon ogólny, plon handlowy i plon bulw dużych dwóch odmian ziemniaka jadalnego. Po zastosowaniu Użyźniacza Glebowego UGmax, w porównaniu z obiektem kontrolnym, uzyskano średni wzrost plonów o 30-47,9%.

A field experiment was carried out in the years 2009-2010. The experiment was designed randomized block with three replicates as a two-factors. The research was aimed at determining the effect of soil fertilizer UGmax on the total yield, marketable yield and large tubers yield of two cultivars potato. After the use of fertilizer UGmax, the yields of potato tubers increased by 30.0-47.9% comparing to control object.
Badania polowe przeprowadzono w latach 2004-2006 w Instytucie Hodowli i Aklimatyzacji Roślin, Oddział Jadwisin w warunkach gleby lekkiej, kwaśnej.

A field trial was performed in the years 2004-2006 in the Plant Breeding and Acclimatization Institute, Jadwisin Branch, in light and acid soil. The aim of this investigation was to determine the influence of Soil Fertilizer on the level of available forms of macroelements in the soil, content of humus, yield of potatoes and chemical composition of tubers. The Soil Fertilizer applied on the straw caused increase of humus in the soil by 17%. After applied straw with Soil Fertilizer the yield was higher about 7,1%. The tubers yield obtained after application of straw with Soil Fertilizer but without phosphorus and potassium fertilization was comparable to the yield after application of straw with mineral fertilization (phosphorus - 43,6 kg.ha-1 P and potassium - 83,0 kg.ha-1 K). Differences in chemical composition of potato tubers between object with straw + Soil Fertilizer in comparison to object with straw only were not significant.
The aim of study was to estimate survival, the rate and range of migration of fecal bacteria in soils fertilized with bovine slurry. The research showed that a great majority of fecal bacteria was retained in higher parts of soil profiles. The precipitation, physical and chemical properties of soil, the bacterial population density used in experiment were most important factors that influenced infiltration of fecal microorganisms.
Sludge and vermicompost of organic origin were examined in a field experiment aimed at determining their suitability as soil fertilisers. The experiment was performed in three consecutive years (1996-98) on the sludge originating from a biological and chemical tannery sewage treatment plant and vermicompost based on the sewage sludge to which fruit tree leaves and wheat straw were added. Comparison to the farmyard manure proved that higher abundance of organic matter, nitrogen, calcium and sodium was found for both untreated tannery sludge and sludge composted by Eisenia fetida; the content of potassium was, however, much lower while phosphorus and magnesium were found in the amounts similar to farmyard manure. Contamination with heavy metals, apart from chromium, remained within the acceptable limits.
Infestation by take-all pathogens of winter wheat was determined in three-factors field experiment conducted in 2007–2009. Winter wheat grew in crop rotation after pea or in monoculture (first factor of experiment). Application of soil conditioner UGmax was the second factor of experiment and as a third factor – plumpness of seed material was used. It was found that only crop rotation with pea as a previous crop significantly decreased take-all diseases.
