Our paper aims at illustrating the inequality of languages and cultures, highlighted, among others, by Itamar Evan-Zohar and the laws of literary interference, by Pascale Casanova, who uses Bourdieu’s concepts of dominant and dominated and applies them to languages and literatures, and by Yves Gambier, who speaks of asymmetry.
