Performance budget is a tool of modern management in public sector. Informacja przestrzenna jest bardzo istotnym elementem w zarządzaniu jednostkami samorządu terytorialnego. Obecnie dzięki usługom sieciowym dostępność tej informacji znacznie się poprawiła i dzięki temu można automatyzować wiele dziedzin działalności samorządów terytorialnych. Poniżej przedstawiono kilka przykładów zastosowań w konkretnych dziedzinach związanych z planowaniem przestrzennym, prowadzeniem rejestru ewidencji miejscowości, ulic i adresów oraz z zarządzania mieniem komunalnym.

Self-government responsibilities include keeping many records such as house numbering, zoning, registry of municipal property, etc., which are based on spatial data. The Act on Spatial Information Infrastructure has caused a significant increase in the number of network services. With web services, in particular those provided by geoportal.govpl and district cadastral nodes, it is possible to automate many of the records with a specialist software. On the one hand, web services make the user dependent on the data provider, but at the same time they provide current and valuable resources. This paper examines web services that can be used by selfgovernments and presents examples of record keeping automation. It also notes the fact that selfgovernments are both web service users and providers.
