Communities, in particular parishes, are looking for their chances of development in tourism. Beside the natural values, it’s necessary to have night’s rests and gastronomical base as well as wide understood tourism infrastructure to realize touristic and recreation activities. Bicycle tourism is one of the forms which is still current, but the conditions of it’s realization are continually changing. Bicycle routes are becoming necessary element of the municipal and rural landscape. This article shows bicycle routes as an element of tourist infrastructure and points out their strengths and weaknesses in context of sustainable development and spatial management (based on examples of Łąck – Gąbin and Gąbin – Lucień bicycle routes).
