This paper presents the results of research devoted to the determination of trajectory of motion of a singular particle in inter-tube space. The object of this research was a model cuboid device. The motion of the particle was perpendicular to the tube bundles. The measurement apply the method of image analysis allowing the determination of the co-ordinates of the trajectory in a planar (two dimensional) system. In order to determine the component of the third dimension an OLYMPUS optical fiberscope was applied. Regardless of the experiments the trajectories of particle motion were determined with the aid of FLUENT package. A relevant outcome of the research consists in the collection of valuable data concerning the appropriate methodology of performing such measurements which will allow to gain the results involving smaller errors. The principles of selecting color optical filters was indicated thus enabling the collection of images with better contrast. The miprovement in quality will enable more precise determination of the co-ordinates of particle position as it occurs in inter tube space. The results gained will promote the advance of research in this area, while the foreseeable results may prove helpful at the stage of development of fluidal boiler installations, with the application of alternative fuel.
