To adapt a 3-phase wind alternator to a variable DC-bus, a modular solution based on single-phase Boost-based PFC’s is proposed. Nevertheless, oost modules must be adapted to operate with non-isolated sources, like 3-4 wire, 3-phase generators. Magnetic coupling is introduced to enhance the isolation among phases, reducing also converter losses and size. Sliding mode approach has been applied to verify that independent regulation of all phase modules was possible. To confirm the theoretical analysis A 1.5 kW prototype was built for verification.

W artykule zaproponowano układ modułowy do sprzęgania generatora wiatrowego z regulowanym obwodem prądu stałego oparty na jednofazowym układzie korekcji współczynnika mocy typu boost PFC. Układ boost został zaadoptowany do pracy ze źródłami nieizolowanymi takimi jak trzy- i czteroprzewodowe generatory trójfazowe. Zaprezentowano sprzężenie magnetyczne poprawiające izolację międzyfazową redukującą także straty w przekształtniku oraz jego wymiary. Zastosowano sterowanie ślizgowe w celu wykazania możliwości niezależnego sterowania we wszystkich fazach. Zbudowano prototyp o mocy 1,5 kW do weryfikacji eksperymentalnej wyników analiz teoretycznych.

W systemach regulacji i sterowania czasu rzeczywistego, pełniących szczególnie odpowiedzialne funkcje, konieczne jest zapewnienie odpowiednio wysokiego poziomu ich niezawodności. Może to być realizowane między innymi poprzez zastosowanie redundancji. Z doświadczeń firmy PROLOC realizującej tego typu systemy sterowania wynika, iż redundancja może się okazać bardzo kosztowna zarówno pod względem ekonomicznym, jak i z punktu widzenia powodowanych przez nią zmian zależności czasowych występujących w systemach czasu rzeczywistego. Może ona również pociągać za sobą szereg problemów. Podstawowym spośród nich jest problem "bezuderzeniowej" pracy redundantnych jednostek komputerowych.

Telemanipulator kardiochirurgiczny jest złożonym urządzeniem elektro-mechanicznym przeznaczonym do pracy wewnątrz ciała pacjenta, przez co stwarza ryzyko narażenia jego zdrowia w wyniku awarii lub nieprawidłowej pracy. Z tych przyczyn urządzenie to musi spełniać wysokie wymagania co do niezawodności oraz bezpiecznej pracy. W artykule przedstawiono propozycję redundantnego systemu sterowania telemanipulatorem kardiochirurgicznym spełniającego te wymagania. Omówiono najważniejsze właściwości opracowanego systemu sterowania. We wstępie przeanalizowano możliwe wybory struktury sprzętowej oraz struktury redundancji torów pomiarowych i sterujących telemanipulatora. Przeanalizowano również wybrane algorytmy sterowania nadążnego robota z punktu widzenia bezpieczeństwa pracy. Sformułowano wnioski oraz propozycje dalszych prac.

This paper discusses some problems concerned with safety requirements for the cardiochirurgical robot control system. Different structures of control systems for this kind of application has been presented and analysed. Also, various control methods have been analysed, including velocity and position control methods. Consequently, an original structure of a redundant control system has been proposed to meet all safety requirements for the cardiochirugical telemanipulator system. The purpose of the developed control system is to secure the surgery process against hardware and software malfunctions as well as surgeon mistakes. Conclusions and propositions for future work have also been presented.

Media interviews with politicians are messages which shape the views of the audience regarding the phenomena in the world and affect the hierarchy of importance in broadcasts. An analysis of interviews with politicians reveals that the communication purposes of the participants are often divergent and the interlocutors themselves consider on another to be opponents. The rejection of the very idea of conversation as a setting for an agreement sets a new goal: victory, an interlocutor’s particular benefit. These communication conditions provide a setting where redundancy works perfectly as camouflage. The broadcaster in the media, who cares about achieving the implicit purpose of communication, may treat redundancy as a mask – consciously hiding behind multiplicity makes the recipient bear the burden of responsibility for misunderstanding the message or treat what is obtained explicitly from the broadcaster as an indicator to look for meanings. In the paper, two main ranges were distinguished: party messages and universal phrases, indirectly defining the basic tasks of redundancy. The former suggest ways politicians reply to the journalists’ questions; the latter serve to provide statements oscillating around the issue – their generality, predictability and non‑ controversiality makes them fit in almost any topic and political option.

In this text the author presents three concepts which are sometimes used interchangeably and which, in essence, relate to different spheres of human communication. Firstly, the concept of intersemiotic translation – introduced by Jakobson – which has been found to have been interpreted not quite in line with the author's intention and which denotes translation of linguistic messages via nonlinguistic messages. Verbo-visual translation pertains to the kind of translation employed broadly by the media, in all contexts where a translated text is accompanied by various forms of pictures. The author endeavors to elucidate the concept of picture and the relation between the text and the picture in constructing the sense of the message. Finally, the issue of a translation which is, not quite correctly, referred to as audiovisual translation, in which a translator deals with the spoken text and the written text while they appear on the cinema, television and computer screens. The whole text is crowned by a call for the introduction of issues relating to semiology in the broad sense of its meaning to the training of translators.
