The article describes a new solution for pulper feed systems. A fully automated pulper feed system delivers higher productivity and efficiency, cost savings, and, importantly, it improves staff safety by eliminating the risks associated with manual dewiring routines. A fully automatic line includes automatically unit dewiring machine where the bale units are dewired and destacked into single bales, dewiring single bales, metal detektor, manual dewiring station where the bale goes through a manual inspection and dewiring and chain and slat conveyors. The automatic pulp feed systems from Valmet and MERI/ Voith, are presented.
