In the present paper a comparison is made of Polish law with the procedures concerning competitive tendering realized from money supplies from loans from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and from credits from the International Development Association, with the main emphasis put on the differences that there are between them. Also an attempt is made to assess, which of them better meets the requirements to ensure open competition, effectiveness and transparency of the law.
