The purpose of this article is to present an overview of Price Waterfall model (PWm), as a supporting solution to create an appropriate pricing strategy for current company. Implementing of PWm allows to manage and control the costs level and rebate policy in the enterprise. Waterfall pricing structure allows to track “Pricing leakage “places where profitable transaction changes to less profitable. Within the cascade model, the appropriate level of overall costs is estimated for each transaction. An example Vendavo environment is discussed as an example of PWm’s implementation.

The aim of this article is to identify the key factors of differential pricing and its impact on perceived service quality and guest satisfaction. Great attention has been given by researchers to service quality and guest satisfaction in the tourism and hotel industry. This study however examines an integrated model of differential pricing, perceived service quality and guest satisfaction linked to value perception and satisfaction among guests for prices offered at the time of room booking, and the services available during their stay. A self-administered questionnaire was given to guests who stayed in mid-scale hotels and 334 responses were collected randomly. Structural equation modelling was used to examine the data set, a second-generation method that enables simultaneous modelling of a large number of independent and dependent variables. Partial least square SmartPLS 4.0 was used to evaluate the data. The measurement model and the structural model are the two used to examine the data. According to survey results and findings, booking channel and booking volume are significantly related to guest satisfaction. Additionally, the booking channel has a significant relationship with perceived service quality. Maintaining high-quality websites is crucial to attracting visitors and keeping them, eventually leading to more people using travel websites out of loyalty.

With the rapid development of distributed photovoltaic grids, more and more users join the power sales side, and the traditional power grid operation mode is no longer applicable. This paper analyzes the characteristics of the distributed photovoltaic grid under overload conditions, and further summarizes the problems that the distributed photovoltaic grid will face under these conditions. To solve these problems, the alliance chain technology was introduced into the distributed photovoltaic grid. At the same time, this paper establishes a photovoltaic pricing strategy that considers power transmission loss. Finally, the feasibility of the theory is verified by constructing a virtual model.

Content available Modelling contractor’s bidding decision
84%
EN
The authors aim to provide a set of tools to facilitate the main stages of the competitive bidding process for construction contractors. These involve 1) deciding whether to bid, 2) calculating the total price, and 3) breaking down the total price into the items of the bill of quantities or the schedule of payments to optimise contractor cash flows. To define factors that affect the decision to bid, the authors rely upon literature on the subject and put forward that multi-criteria methods are applied to calculate a single measure of contract attractiveness (utility value). An attractive contract implies that the contractor is likely to offer a lower price to increase chances of winning the competition. The total bid price is thus to be interpolated between the lowest acceptable and the highest justifiable price based on the contract attractiveness. With the total bid price established, the next step is to split it between the items of the schedule of payments. A linear programming model is proposed for this purpose. The application of the models is illustrated with a numerical example. The model produces an economically justified bid price together with its breakdown, maintaining the logical proportion between unit prices of particular items of the schedule of payment. Contrary to most methods presented in the literature, the method does not focus on the trade-off between probability of winning and the price but is solely devoted to defining the most reasonable price under project-specific circumstances. The approach proposed in the paper promotes a systematic approach to real-life bidding problems. It integrates practices observed in operation of construction enterprises and uses directly available input. It may facilitate establishing the contractor’s in-house procedures and managerial decision support systems for the pricing process.

Transport infrastructure is still poorly used and underfi nanced for lack of transparency in the costs paid by users, lack of adequate funds and the absence of a framework conducive to investment. The White Paper (2001) ‘European transport policy for 2010 – time to decide’ brought already attention to the clear mismatch between the stated objectives of the TEN-T1 and the fi nancial resources available to the Community. On the other side with the immense growth of traffi c and transport more investment in infrastructure is absolute necessary, without high-performance transport networks, economies cannot be competitive. The creation and smooth operation of TEN-T which became offi cial Community policy 10 years ago, is a key condition for the success of the internal market to ensure sustainable mobility in an enlarged EU.
