In this paper the theory and performance characteristics of the twelve-phase cage induction motor are shown. These characteristics are given for five sequences of supplying voltages. For each sequence the motor has other no load rotating speed. So, the speed control is caused by appropriate choice ofthis sequence and arrives m a stepper way. For the motor supply a special transformer is proposed fed by the three-phase mains. The motor can drive different devices and particularly fans and pumps changing their delivery in a stepper way.
