Equations of motion have been deduced for a plate strengthened with an orthogonal framework of ribs, taking into account the discrete placing of the ribs. An accurate solution of these equations has been obtained for the case when the plate reinforced with the ribs placed along one of the co-ordinate directions. For the plate strengthened with one longitudinal rib the influence of discrete placing of this rib and its rigidity on the magnitudes of the wave parameters of the harmonic waves propagating along the plate was studied by the numerical example.

W pracy rozważa się przybliżone podejście do określenia stanu naprężeń i przemieszczeń w płycie izotropowej prostokątnej, jednokierunkowo uzbrojonej. Orientacyjnie przyjmuje się, że materiał płyty jest jednorodny i ortotropowy. Zakłada sie ponadto, że płyta znajduje się w warunkach zginania walcowego. Wobec tego rozwiązanie dla płyty sprowadzono do rozwiązania płaskiego zginania pasma wycietego z płyty w kierunku uzbrojenia.

The paper deals with transverse bending of a reinforced plate resting on elastic foundation under plane strains conditions. It is assumed that the material of the plate is homogeneous and orthotropic, while the bending rigidities of the material is determined as the sum of bending rigidities of the components. Thus, a plate being free supported and completely clamped at the edges and loaded by the uniform load on the upper surface shall be considered.
