The intensity of Varroa jacobsoni invasion was determined before and after treatment of bee colonies by the method in which the bees were anaesthethised by aether. All colonies were devoid of brood before the first treatment. A smoke was apply twice at 4 day interval. The trials showed 100% efficacy of Fumilat and 87.9—100% efficacy of Warrosekt after two treatments. The drugs were applied with ZG-1 device. Another method of the application of the smoked drugs characterized a lower efficacy.
