The research was executed ln the year 1980-1989 in a coypu farm belonging to the cooperative farm. Its am was to determine whether the production of the animal skins is payable different economic conditions. On the basis of the results acquired it shows that: - feeding the animals with granulated mixture gives relatively low labour needs in attendance to a head in one production cycle. A head consumes about 24 kg of feeds, as regards to the traditional way of feeding, it saves about 96 kg of feeds; - from the calculations achieved coypu breeding and animal skin production in this directlon is very cucrative; - coypu breeding in groups and agee also gave profitable results. Income was higher than the cost of production; - direction of production of this sort proved prefered in farms which ensure much technical and economical conditions through executing a definite technology of breeding and feeding, taking advantage of cheap mixture, preserving adequate price ralation between final product skin and expenses put for this purpose.
