W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań i ocenę odpadów niebezpiecznych w kontekście obowiązujących uregulowań prawnych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem Rozporządzenia Ministra Środowiska z dnia 13 maja 2004 r. w sprawie warunków, w których uznaje się, że odpady nie są niebezpieczne. Autorzy przebadali odpady powstające w wyniku przetwórstwa ropy naftowej. Wyniki analiz pozwoliły na ocenę produktu - paliwa alternatywnego - powstałego z odpadów szkodliwych i niebezpiecznych oraz trocin, jako materiału nieposiadającego cech niebezpiecznych

The article presents results from investigations and assessment of wastes in the context of legal regulations in force, with particular emphasis on the Regulation of the Ministry of Environment of 13 May 2004 on conditions under which it is acknowledged that the wastes are not dangerous. The authors examined wastes generated during processing of oil. The results of the analysis allowed to assess the product - an alternative fuel - generated from dangerous wastes and dangerous sawdust as the material non-possessing dangerous traits.

Asbestos-cement waste from roof coverings and facades are classified as hazardous materials and should be successively removed from buildings. The current management of these wastes is limited to their controlled depositing in landfills, which does not ultimately solve the problem of their impact on the environment in the future. The article presents the current state of disposal of asbestos in Poland, with particular emphasis on the Silesian Voivodeship. The literature reports on the methods of neutralizing this type of waste and the possibility of their recycling were analyzed. It was found that the most popular way of recycling asbestos waste is thermal treatment, and the least effective - chemical treatment. Unfortunately, legal barriers prevent the spread of these solutions in the country in practice, despite the fact that safe methods of recycling asbestos-cement products are known.
