The last worldwide account of Aphanolejeunea, done 25 years ago, recognized 41 valid species. Since then the number of accepted taxa has increased by 10 new species, described mostly by us, and 4 species, as new combinations, were transferred from Cololejeunea to Aphanolejeunea. It also turned out that some other names, mostly synonyms, have been overlooked in the intervening years. Recent molecular evidence has shown that at the generic level Aphanolejeunea cannot be separated from Cololejeunea. Here, all valid Aphanolejeunea taxa are merged with (or returned to) Cololejeunea. Forty-three Cololejeunea names are established for the previously known 64 Aphanolejeunea binomials, 23 new combinations and 4 new names (these latter to avoid homonymy) are made, and 22 new synonyms are proposed. The continental distributions of all species are given, based on our recent knowledge.

Doprowadziło to do rewizji wcześniej podawanych gatunków. Po raz pierwszy opisano samicę gatunku Chonocephalus bentacaisei (Santos Abreu). Opracowano klucz do oznaczania zadrowatych (osobno dla samców i samic) występujących na wyspie. Pracę ilustruje 161 rysunków.

Abrolophus norvegicus (Thor, 1900) is redescribed. An extended diagnosis of Abrolophus Berlese, 1891 (= Hauptmannia Oudemans, 1910) is provided for all active life instars. Description of larva of A. norvegicus is based on specimens obtained by experimental rearing from field-collected females. Variability of morphological characters is evaluated for offspring of a single female, within a particular population and between different populations originating from Europe. The specific status of A. norvegicus is discussed. A female of A. norvegicus, collected in northern Germany is selected as neotype. Hauptmannia silesiacus Haitiinger, 1986, syn. nov., Abrolophus neobrevicollis Zhang et Goldarazena, 1996, syn. nov., Hauptmannia striata Saboori, Šundic et Pesic, 2011, syn. nov., Hauptmannia dagmarae Haitiinger, 2012, syn. nov. are considered synonyms of Ritteria norvegica Thor, 1900. Data on habitat specificity and phenology of A. norvegicus as well as on its development are given.

The paper contains informations on the descriptions and analyse of various authors’ opinions as to the ocurrence and systematic position of species belonging to the genus Xylothrips. As the result of the analysis Calophagus has been downgraded to a subgenus of Xylothrips – Xylothrips (Calophagus) n. comb. – and Xylothrips geffroyi (n. syn.) synonymized with X. religiosus. At the end a key to the identification of all known species of Xylothrips is presented, together with a catalogue and maps showing the geographical distribution of particular species.

Sticholotidini (Coleóptera: Coccinellidae) from Western Ghats, a designated biodiversity hotspot in India, are poorly known. Fourteen species of Sticholotidini from southern Indian plantations, Western Ghats, are treated here. Most of these species are endemic to Western Ghats and are not commonly seen in collections and there is little information on their habitat / biology. Diagnostic information on these species is given here with illustrations of male genitalia wherever possible to facilitate their identification. Sticholotis húmida sp. nov. is described and illustrated. Lectotypes are designated for Orcus (?) ferrugineus Gorham (1894), Clanis binotata Gorham (1894), Sticholotis cribellata Sicard (1910), Sticholotis obscurocincta Sicard (1911), Sticholotis obscurella Weise (1908), Sticholotis nilgiriensis Weise (1908), and Sticholotis tredecimmaculata Weise (1908). Synonychimorpha immaculata Poorani (2003) is reduced to a new junior synonym of S. chittagongi (Vazirani, 1983) (new synonym). A checklist of Sticholotidini known from the Western Ghats is given.

Lectotypes for some species are designated. All the species are keyed and a general distribution is given for each of them. H. congener Schmidt, 1885 is new to the Oriental (Bhutan) and H. pullatm Erichson, 1834 to the Ethiopian (Ivory Coast) Region.

The rare and unsufficiently known taxa Lochmaea limbata Pic, 1898 (known only from males) and Loclnnaea setulosa (Sahlberg, 1913) (known only from females) are proposed as synonyms after detailed studies on a large population from Isparta (Turkey). L. limbata is redescribed and illustrated; the female shows clear dimorphism with the male. Additionally, Crataegus monogyna Jacq. (Rosaceae) is determined as host plant of L. limbata.
