The paper discusses the impact of the decision-making profiles on the consistency of rankings obtained by three multiple criteria methods, i.e. DR, AHP and TOPSIS. The online decision making experiment was organized, based on an electronic questionnaire which is a hybrid of the internet survey system and the decision support system. The participants of the experiment were 418 students of Polish universities. To describe the decision-making profile, the REI test was used which allows to distinguish two decision-making styles: rational and intuitive. The Kendall rank correlation coefficient was used to test the consistency of the rankings obtained by the considered methods. Using different grouping methods, the relationship between the decision profile and the ability to express one’s preferences by means of these methods, that differ in cognitive requirements, was examined. The results of the research may be helpful for supporting the decision-maker in decision processes by choosing the method that fits their profile best.

W niniejszej pracy podjęto zagadnienia związane z wielokryterialną oceną nowych zamiatarek kompaktowych. W pracy przeanalizowano stosowane w praktyce kryteria oceny zamiatarek poprzez dokonanie przeglądu polskich i zagranicznych przetargów na dostawę tego typu urządzeń. Przedstawiono również metodykę rozwiązywania tego typu problemów decyzyjnych z wykorzystaniem metody wielokryterialnego wspomagania decyzji ELECTRE III. Zaprezentowano też przykładowy eksperyment obliczeniowy dla oceny nowych zamiatarek kompaktowych, który rozwiązano z wykorzystaniem tej metody.

The paper concerns with issues regarding multiple criteria evaluation of new compact street sweepers. In the paper, criteria for evaluation of street sweepers used in practice were analyzed by reviewing polish as well as international tenders regarding purchasing or leasing such devices. The method of evaluating such devices by using multiple criteria decision aiding tool ELECTRE III is also provided. An example of using such method in the case of purchasing a new compact street sweeper is also presented.

W artykule przedstawiono spójną metodykę wielokryterialnej oceny dostawców z branży spożywczej, obejmującą: określenie zbioru wariantów – dostawców mięsa, zdefiniowanie spójnej rodziny kryteriów pozwalających na ich kompleksową ocenę, modelowanie preferencji decydenta (w tym określenie ważności kryteriów i wrażliwości decydenta na zmiany ich wartości), przeprowadzenie eksperymentów obliczeniowych prowadzących do uzyskania rankingu końcowego dostawców oraz wybór dostawcy najbardziej pożądanego. W rozważaniach uwzględniono zbiór 7 dostawców - producentów mięsa, zlokalizowanych w województwie łódzkim. W rodzinie kryteriów oceniających kooperantów (ważnych z punku widzenia decydenta, czyli firmy produkującej wyroby garmażeryjne) uwzględniono 10 miar, w tym między innymi: cenę jednostkową nabywanego surowca, jego jakość, punktualność i niezawodność dostawy, elastyczność dostawcy, koszt dostawy. W fazie eksperymentów obliczeniowych wykorzystano wielokryterialną metodę szeregowania / rankingu wariantów – ELECTRE III/IV.

The paper presents a coherent methodology of a mult iple criteria evaluation of suppliers in a food industry, covering: definition of a set of variants – meat suppliers, definition of a consistent family of criteria that allow for their comprehensive evaluation, modeling of decision maker’s (DM’s) preferenc es (including: the definition of the importance of criteria and the DM’s sensitivity towards changes of criteria values), carrying out computational experiments resulting in the final ranking of suppliers and finally the selection of the most desirable supplier. In the analysis a set of 7 suppliers – meat producers, located in the Lodz region have been considered. In the family of criteria evaluating the cooperating units (important for the DM, i.e. the meat products producer) 10 measures have been taken into account. These have included, among others: Unit Price of the Purchased Raw Material and its Quality, Timeliness and Reliability of Deliveries, Flexibilty of the Supplier, Cost of Delivery. In the computational phase a multiple criteria ranking method ELECTRE III/IV has been applied.

W artykule przedstawiono oryginalne formuły agregacji rankingów jako jeden z ważniejszych elementów wielopoziomowej, wielokryterialnej ocenie projektów transportu miejskiego. Autorzy scharakteryzowali problem agregacji rankingów w omawianej metodyce, zastosowali oryginalne formuły agregacji do konkretnej analizy projektów transportu miejskiego przeznaczonych do realizacji w Poznaniu i zaprezentowali wyniki obliczeń. Wspomniany proces decyzyjny został przeprowadzony z wykorzystaniem metodyk wielokryterialnego i grupowego podejmowania decyzji.

The article explains the principles of aggregation of rankings in the methodology of multiple-level, multiple-criteria evaluation of urban transportation projects. Two types of aggregation, concerning the generation of a common subject - based ranking of urban transportation projects and obtaining the final ranking being the resultant of subject - based ranking (operational level), sector ranking (tactical level, transportation policy) and strategic ranking city development strategy). In both cases of aggregate on the authors have proposed their original mathematical formulas and explained the need for aggregating the intermediate results. They have also carried out a series of computational experiments and have presented their results. The analysis and the considered aggregation have been performed for 18 transportation projects concerning the Poznan metropolitan area.

Vehicle transport is a dominant type of technological processes in rock mines, and its profit ability is strictly dependent on overall cost of its exploitation, especially on diesel oil consumption. Thus, a rational design of transportation system based on haul trucks should result from thorough analysis of technical and economic issues, including both cost of purchase and its further exploitation, having a crucial impact on the cost of minerals extraction. Moreover, off-highway trucks should be selected with respect to all specific exploitation conditions and even the user’s preferences and experience. In this paper a development of universal family of evaluation criteria as well as application of evaluation method for haul truck selection process for a specific exploitation conditions in surface mining have been carried out. The methodology presented in the paper is based on the principles of multiple criteria decision aiding (MCDA) using one of the ranking method, i.e. ELECTRE III. The applied methodology has been allowed for ranking of alternative solution (variants), on the considered set of haul trucks. The result of the research is a universal methodology, and it consequently may be applied in other surface mines with similar exploitation parametres.

Transport samochodowy jest dominującym rodzajem transportu w procesach technologicznych w kopalniach surowców skalnych; jego opłacalność jest ściśle powiązana z kosztami ekploatacji parku maszynowego, w tym ze zużyciem oleju napędowego. Racjonalny dobór systemu transportowego z wykorzystaniem wozideł, powinien wynikać z dokładnej analizy aspektów techniczno-ekonomicznych, inwestycyjnych oraz eksploatacyjnych. Ponadto, wozidła powinny być dobierane z uwzględnieniem wszystkich istotnych parametrów w określonych warunkach eksploatacyjnych, a nawet preferencji użytkownika. W niniejszej pracy opracowano uniwersalny zbiór kryteriów oceny oraz zastosowano metodę oceny w zakresie doboru wozideł technologicznych dla odkrywkowych kopalń surowców skalnych. Przedstawiona w pracy metodyka wyboru wykorzystuje nurt wielokryterialnego wspomagania decyzji (WWD), a w szczególności jedną z jego metod – ELECTRE III. Zastosowane narzędzie pozwoliło na uszeregowanie alternatywnych propozycji rozwiązań – wariantów, w analizowanym zbiorze wozideł technologicznych. Zaproponowana metodyka ma charakter uniwersalny i może być zastosowana w innych zakładach górniczych o podobnych warunkach eksploatacyjnych.
