The optimization of logistic system results from the need of complex regulation of problems stemming from transformations carried out in the Polish Armed Forces’ logistics and also from adjusting its structures to tasks, undertaken obligations, as well as organizational-functional changes both conducted and planned. The aim of the article is to present these changes taking place in the logistic service support of forces in peacetime, mainly through tasks performed by military logistics in accordance with the forces’ needs on all organizational levels. Undoubtedly, an essential factor that causes the necessity to implement changes and adjust the Polish Armed Forces’ logistic system is Poland’s membership in NATO and the European Union. This imposes the necessity to undertake constant activities aiming at, among others, complex integration of the Polish Armed Forces’ logistic system with NATO military structures, mainly its procedures in order to gain a necessary level of standardization and unification. A general goal of this process is to increase military forces’ effectiveness and raise availability of using defence resources of the Member States. Getting rid of incorrectness in the Polish Armed Forces’ logistics is conducted successively, basing on the Minister’s of National Defence orders, provisions in the Polish Armed Forces’ development programmes and logistic development plans which set new or verify existing task and structural competence.

New organizational and technical solutions aimed at optimizing the Polish Armed Forces Logistic System (PAFLS) and national task contingents are due to modern conditions under which military operations, mainly of expeditionary character, are conducted in the allied and international environment. The PAFLS and the Polish Military Contingent's organizational and technical structure is still (notwithstanding the numerous efforts that were made) the vast optimizing space which can be filled when the possibilities created by civil logistics experience are taken into account.

Material support effective functioning is one of the most difficult tasks during combat service support of Polish military contingents conducting peace and stabilization missions outside the country. The tasks include a wide range of logistic services requiring careful planning, making numerous arrangements and signing contracts. The participation of the Polish Armed Forces' military contingents in operations outside the country determines a new concept quality of forces' material support taking into consideration using national and multinational logistic potential. The plans of forces' combat service support in operations of a different character, often conducted in completely different environments, are mainly dependent on the possibilities to gain logistic resources and services in the areas of planned operations and the national logistics possibilities in the context of : flexible selection of means and assets adequate to the aim of the operation ; management of material resources that the forces have at their disposal ; maintaining the size of material potential necessary to achieve assumed goals, often in long period of operation. Presented in the article material support problems of Polish Armed Forces contingents on the background of their contemporary operational activities result from modern output of Polish military defensive and economic thought that solves basic problems and from the tendency to achieve by the Polish Forces required standard and interoperability levels with NATO armies logistics.

I have tried to conduct my research work to deepen my knowledge about Logistics in Allied Operations. My work is about how ammunition supplying is being done when we talk about Multinational Support in Allied Operations. In the introduction a new strategy of Allied Joint Operations was explained. The first chapter shows how the changes of the new strategy affected all the military structures responsible with the ammunition supply and also the role of each structure in the whole process. Ammunition supply points, where presented in details because they have the most important role. The second chapter contains the main procedures that are being done in order to provide ammunition from the strategic level to the lowest tactical levels. The operational level confronts the biggest challenges and I used a real example to explain that.

Armored Recovery Vehicles (ARV’s) are very important in nowadays military organizations because of the need to maintain its vehicles operable and ready to fulfill its tasks. Because of the evolution of military vehicles, ARV’s evolved and diversified also leading to different approaches, which are treated in this article. In order to make you understand these approaches, some information were put together in order to make a comparison between this different kinds of ARV’s. The article shows, that it is hard to say which is better, but makes the reader understand the pros and cons of every approach. In the end, a possible solution is presented leaving to decision into the reader’s will.

This article describes the Integrated Military Information System (IMIS), which is being gradually introduced in the Ministry of National Defense. The modern IMIS system is intended to form the foundations of effective management of the Air Force logistics. At present, military units often have to carry out their tasks in a coalition or allied environment and the integrated information system is a key to ensuring a successful outcome of these activities. This author also focus on airbase tasks on the example of 42 Aviation School Airbase in Radom. The article also describes the implementation effects of IMIS on enhanced functioning of the airbase logistics in this process.

Nowadays, the most important factors that cause global market activity and have a big influence on logistics processes are: globalisation and rapid development of new technologies. In that environment, military logistics are operating incessantly alongside the supply of goods in times of war, peace and crisis. These logistics are focused on finding solutions for being more effective and economically profi table. Because of this, logisticians try to reduce costs and supply good faster, as well as trying to provide the right quality and service.. The current challenges in military logistics support have changed. The biggest challenge for all logistics processes is to provide services according to the 7R formula (right time, right product, right quantity, right condition, right place, right customer, and right price). A logistics leader is important for every operational mission. Thanks to the leader making quick and smart decisions, successful termination of a mission is possible. The article is based on the example of logistics support for the Polish contingent in Kosovo. In the light of the above, the aim of the article is to identify and estimate the situation of military logistics. The research problem is as follow: What are the biggest determinants of logistics processes in military area?

One aspect of the total defence concept involves the temporary requisition of civilian transportation vehicles to meet the increased logistical demands of a wartime army. These vehicles are selected and managed in peacetime, mobilised at the onset of the war, used by military units throughout the war, and returned to their original owners afterwards. This paper presents a model for the reception process of such civilian vehicles during mobilisation. In practice, however, reception processes are not without challenges. Under the time constraints of mobilisation, issues may arise, including inappropriate reception, missed deadlines, and compromised operational readiness. To investigate these issues, the study employs conceptual modelling, supplemented by insights from professional experience. The main contributions of this paper include a conceptual model of the mobilisation process, a framework for maintaining records of mobilised assets, and a focus on previously underexplored mobilisation issues. Proper reception of mobilised vehicles significantly affects the transportation capability and operational readiness of military units as well as the accuracy of the post-conflict return process. Implementation of the proposed solutions requires careful consideration due to interdependencies with other aspects of the mobilisation process, such as doctrinal arrangements, administrative systems, mobilisation procedures as well as the quality and regularity of both professional and reservist military training.

The paper presents research on expedient repairs, including battle damage repair methods of hydro-pneumatic pipes with adhesives. According to analyzed publications concerning battle damage of military equipment, various pipes and lines, which are used in military vehicles and aircrafts, are one of the most often damaged parts during combat operations. During experimental tests, the efficiency of damaged pipes repair was researched. Various methods of repair depending on pressure in the pipe and sort of damage were considerate. To conduct experimental tests of repair two kind of adhesive were used. It was composite adhesive Belzona 1111, which is used by many armies of NATO, and epoxy adhesive Epidian 57 hardened with Z-1. The conducted experiments proofed that both low pressure and even high pressure hydro-pneumatic pipes can be repaired in the field conditions with considered adhesives. Presented methods of repairs can be very useful especially during combat operations when the access to spare parts and disposal time is limited. Using to repair the manufacturer’s composite adhesive without any strengthening should be limited to low pressure pipes. The specific properties of epoxy adhesives must be considered before applying to repair, especially change of mechanical and utilitarian features at higher temperature.

This study develops a mathematical model for helicopter mission planning during a military operation. The decisions inherent in the problem decompose hierarchically into two subproblems where operational decisions are made at the top level, and the tactical routing and loading decisions are made at the base level. Military operations involve uncertainty in many model parameters, and probability distributions are not avaiable in most cases due to the unique nature of such missions. Consequently, these parameters are de-fuzzified in the mathematical models by the use of membership functions for right hand sides of constraints. An interactive procedure is designed by using different Alfa-cuts imposed by the decision-maker (DM) to assess the preference of alternative non-dominated solutions.

Dlatego rozmyty charakter parametrów zastąpiono wprowadzeniem funkcji należenia do prawych stron ograniczeń. Zaproponowana została procedura interakcyjna z wykorzystaniem Alfa - odcięć wprowadzanych przez decydenta w ocenie preferencji alternatywnych rozwiązań niezdominowanych.
