Even the youngest disciplines of academic research have a history. The emergence of a specific discipline, even the most modern one, like medialinguistics, does not happen in a scholarly vacuum and specific traditions always play an importantrole there. This article aims to characterise the programme articles of two leading authors dealing with medialinguistics in the Polish- and German-speaking research area, Mediolingwistyka. Theory Methodology. Idea (2014) by Bogusław Skowronek and Hartmut Stöckl’s Zu Status und Methodik eines (noch) emergenten Forschungsfeldes (2012). It is worth noting that Stöckl’s dissertation has been translated into Polish twice and was published in 2015. These articles can undoubtedly be consideredrepresentative as they constitute a clear caesura in the development of the new discipline and have become a point of reference for a wide range of researchers. The analysis includes a reflection on the way of referring to various research trends thathave had an impact on the constitution of medialinguistics; it also emphasises the relationship between the discipline and the research tradition. It is then interesting to explore the way these authors show the emergence of medialinguistics and how theymark its centres of gravity. It also seems important to refer to certain approaches and methodological assumptions characteristic of both areas.

Celem artykułu jest prezentacja (na podstawie materiałów filmowych i okołofilmowych) historii i determinantów kilku nazw własnych związanych z filmem Sami swoi. Analizie poddano tytuł filmu, nazwę miejscowości, z której przybili Kargul i Pawlak, nazwę miejscowości, w której rozgrywa się akcja komedii oraz imię jej głównego bohatera. Analizę przeprowadzono na podstawie materiałów archiwalnych (scenariuszy, słuchowiska, stenogramów), dzięki którym można było prześledzić zmiany w zakresie onomastyki filmowej oraz wskazać czynniki zewnątrzjęzykowe, które wpłynęły na jej kształt. Dowiedziono również związków między nazwami własnymi wykorzystanymi w filmie a jego fabułą i ogólnym wydźwiękiem.

The article has aimed to present the history and determinants of a few proper nouns used in Polish comedy Sami swoi. The title of the movie, the name of the place that Kargul and Pawlak come from, the name of the place where the action of the comedy takes place and the name of the main character have been analyzed. The analysis was based on archive materials (screenplay, radio drama, shorthand records) which helped the author to investigate changes in film onomastics, and to point out some extra-linguistic factors which influenced the model of film onomastics. Likewise, a connection between the proper nouns used in the film, its plot and its general reception was established.

The article deals with the examples of communicative manipulation in the news services of the Russian Internet by means of fragmentation of the journalistic text. News presentation has a multi-stage, modular nature, and the individual modules (a kind of genre clones) differ in their content: the most generalized, axiologically and pragmatically labeled at the level of header, lid and announcement, more concrete filled with factual information at the level of the summary and the full text. Text fragmentation implements several functions: 1) perceptual and mnemonic; 2) prolongation of the communicative contact; 3) locating (opening space for accompanying, usually commerce information); 4) ideological programming/design.

The text attempts to define linguistic artificial intelligence in the context of GPT-4 chat linguistic algorithms. The experiments carried out and described refer to the description of the chat functionality as highly intelligent in terms of language in terms of correctness, efficiency and linguistic culture. By referring to Gardners understanding of linguistic intelligence, and his critics, the ability of artificial intelligence to use a standardized language is described, and errors in the data and the process of coding language models in GPT-4 chat are marked.

Tekst podejmuje próbę oceny poprawności językowej algorytmów lingwistycznych czatu GPT-4. Przeprowadzone i opisane eksperymenty odnoszą się do opisu funkcjonalności czatu jako wysoko inteligentnej pod względem języka w perspektywie poprawności, sprawności i kultury językowej. Przez odniesienie do gardnerowskiego rozumienia inteligencji językowej oraz jego krytyków opisano umiejętności korzystania ze znormalizowanego języka przez sztuczną inteligencję, a także oznaczono błędy w danych i procesie kodowania modeli językowych w czacie GPT-4.

The author examines the implementation of persuasion in the Russian journalistic services in Internet. The subject of the analysis is the segmentation of journalistic texts and its disposition, namely the presentation of part of information in form of a notice placed on the main page of the search engine. According to the author, it allows for the specific configuration of three levels of information: extensional, intensional and pragmatic. The use of segmentation of the journalistic texts for persuasion and manipulation has been shown on the example of Russian information services in Internet on the portal Rambler.ru.

Autor rozważa realizację perswazji komunikacyjnej w środowisku rosyjskich serwisów informacyjnych w Internecie. Przedmiotem analizy jest zjawisko segmentacji tekstu dziennikarskiego i jego dyspozycjonowanie, a mianowicie przedstawienie części informacji w postaci anonsu zamieszczanego na głównej stronie wyszukiwarki. Zdaniem autora, pozwala to na szczególną konfigurację trzech poziomów informacji: ekstensjonalnej, intensjonalnej i pragmatycznej. Wykorzystanie segmentacji tekstu informacji dziennikarskiej zostało pokazane na przykładzie portalu Rambler.ru.
