Thermal radiation effects on unsteady flow past an oscillating semi-infinite isothermal vertical plate with uniform mass flux have been studied. The fluid considered here is a gray, absorbing-emitting radiation but non-scattering medium. The dimensionless governing equations are solved by an efficient, more accurate, and unconditionally stable and fast converging implicit scheme. The effect of velocity and temperature for different parameters like thermal radiation, Schmidt number, thermal Grashof number and mass Grashof number are studied. It is observed that the velocity decreases in the presence of thermal radiation.

Thermal radiation effects on unsteady flow of a viscous incompressible fluid past an exponentially accelerated infinite isothermal vertical plate with uniform mass flux has been studied. The fluid considered here is a gray, absorbing-emitting radiation but a non-scattering medium. The plate temperature is raised to Tw and the concentration level near the plate is also made to be at a constant rate. An exact solution to the dimensionless governing equations has been obtained by the Laplace transform method, when the plate is exponentially accelerated with a velocity […] in its own plane. The velocity, temperature and concentration fields are studied for different physical parameters such as the thermal Grashof number, mass Grashof number, Schmidt number, a and time.
