The aim of this paper is to compare the possibility of application of two physical models, namely generalized Huet-Sayegh and Burgers model to describe the changes in stiffness modulus of asphalt concrete. Both models make sense only in range of the linear viscoelasticity. The modern design of the pavement structure increasingly forced to use more sophisticated techniques for modeling the properties of the bituminous mixtures. The study was found that the application of popular Burgers model is not capable to properly predict the properties of the asphalt concrete at high frequency load/low temperature and at high temperature/low frequency in comparison with the generalized Huet-Sayegh model.
