The paper addresses the issue of including personal finance education in the primary school curriculum. According to the author, the current global financial crisis increases the need for the development of an awareness and an understanding of financial system in young people. The author claims that personal financial education must consider all aspects of finance and particularly he issues relating to ethics and values. She discusses the legal requirements to teach personal finance education and presents the “What Money Means” project built by Personal Finance Education roup (pfeg) to support primary school with the development of personal finance education. The author also describes examples of good practice explored during the pfeg project as well as innovative approaches to financial education.

W artykule poruszono problem wymienności paliw gazowych oraz przedstawiono i krótko scharakteryzowano metody określania wymienności. Artykuł zawiera również aktualne wymagania prawne dotyczące jakości gazów ziemnych rozprowadzanych w Polsce oraz porównanie tych wymagań ze specyfikacją EASEE-gas. Podając zmienność liczby Wobbego i ciepła spalania na przestrzeni dwóch lat, w formie wykresów przedstawiono jakość gazu ziemnego wysokometanowego rozprowadzanego obecnie w Polsce. W artykule przedstawiono aktualnie rozpatrywane możliwości dywersyfikacji dostaw gazu ziemnego do Polski, takie jak np.: dostawy LNG do gazoportu w Świnoujściu, dostawy gazu ziemnego z Morza Północnego, dostawy z Rejonu Morza Kaspijskiego i Bliskiego Wschodu. Skład chemiczny i właściwości gazu z tych źródeł porównano ze składem i właściwościami gazu aktualnie dostarczanego odbiorcom w Polsce, czyli gazu ziemnego importowanego z Rosji oraz gazu wydobywanego z krajowych złóż.

This paper addresses the problem of gas fuels interchangeability as well as presents and briefly characterizes methods for determining interchangeability. The article contains the current legal requirements concerning the quality of natural gases distributed in Poland and compares these requirements with the specifications EASEE-gas. Giving the Wobbe index variation and gross calorific value for over two years in the form of graphs it shows the quality of natural gas currently distributed in Poland. The paper presents currently considered possibilities of diversification of natural gas supplies to Poland, such as LNG supplies to the Świnoujście LNG terminal, natural gas supplies from the North Sea, supplies from the Caspian Region and the Near East. The chemical composition and properties of gas from those sources were compared with the composition and properties of gas currently supplied to Polish consumers, i.e. gas imported from Russia and gas from Polish gas fields.

Frakcja biomasy biorozkładalnej oraz tworzyw sztucznych w odpadach komunalnych decyduje o możliwości spalania odpadów komunalnych. Spalanie to jest problematyczne w aspekcie środowiskowym i społecznym. Należy wybrać akceptowalne technologie spalania. W artykule uzasadniono celowość wyboru technologii zgazowania odpadów i spalania paliwa formowanego gazowego. Odniesiono się do kwestii wymagań prawnych, sprzeciwu społecznego, cech procesu spalania paliw jednorodnych oraz paliw z różnorodnej substancji występującej losowo. Poruszono aspekt energii odnawialnej, limitów emisji CO2. Przedstawiono technologię zgazowania oraz rezultaty techniczne, ekologiczne i ekonomiczne wyboru tej technologii. Wskazano, że wybór przedmiotowej technologii wynika z istoty fizykalnej procesu spalania a nie lobbingu firm przemysłowych.

Fraction of bio-resoluble biomass and plastics in municipal solid wastes decides about possibility of incineration of municipal solid wastes. Such incineration is a problematic issue from natural environment and social point of view. Acceptable technologies of incineration should be selected. An article contains the justification of purposefulness of solid wastes gasification choice and formed gas fuel combustion. There are references to issues associated with legal requirements, collective opposition and objection, features of incineration process of homogeneous fuels and fuels composed of various substances. Renewable energy aspect is raised up in the article as well as carbon dioxide emission limits. Gasification technology is presented and technical, ecological and economic results of that technology are described. It is pointed out that selection of incineration technology results from physical features of combustion process not from lobbying of industrial enterprises.

Ruch w dowolnej sieci transportowej, w której rozwijane prędkości uniemożliwiają natychmiastowe zatrzymanie się w przypadku zagrożenia, musi być odpowiednio regulowany. W przypadku dróg na regulacje te składają się cztery poziomy: reguł postępowania zapisanych w prawie, znaków, sygnalizacji oraz sygnałów dawanych przez osoby uprawnione. W numerze 3/2012 "Inżynierii Ruchu Drogowego" zamieszczone zostało zestawienie aktów prawnych powiązanych z Prawem o ruchu drogowym. Niniejszy artykuł ma za zadanie przedstawić szczegółowo kwestie związane ze znakami i z sygnałami drogowymi oraz prawnymi aspektami ich stosowania w Polsce.

Traffic in any transportation network where allowed velocities unable to stop the vehicle immediately in case of danger has to be regulated. As far as roads are concerned, these regulations consist of four levels: rules of action according to legal regulations, road signs, traffic lights and signals given by authorized individuals. The 3/2012 issue of "Inżynieria Ruchu Drogowego" presented the list of legal acts linked to The Traffic Law. The aim of the article is to present in detail the issues connected with roads signs and traffic lights, as well as the legal aspects of their application in Poland.

During economic crisis, due diligence becomes very important. Although companies valuations are lower, buyers are characterized by more caution. Of their interest are companies with a solid foundation, generating steady, decent level of cash flow. Even the largest stock companies begin to count every penny. The conclusions of due diligence support the process of building and implementing the company’s market strategy and help identify potential risks to the business and legal requirements. Even if the analysis results in withdrawal from the transaction, it should be interpreted asavoidance of losses several times exceeding the cost of due diligence. We can expect that the duediligence formula will gain in popularity in the Polish reality over the next few years.
