The objective of this paper is an area structure analysis of conventional farms in the village of Biadacz and determination whether it favours conversion of the farms into ecological methods in the whole village. Registration data based on land register and cadastral map were collected and subject to statistical analysis to conduct the analysis and area structure evaluation of farms in the village of Biadacz. For each area group of farms, the following were calculated: average farm area, average number of plots per one registration unit, and average plot area. The results were then compared in respect of area structure with four ecological farms existing in the village of Bieganów. According to the analyses, the current area structure of traditional farms in the village of Biadacz is beneficial and favours introduction of ecological methods on a wider scale.
