Light color influence on obstacle recognition in road lighting

Influence of light sources in various contrast obstacle recognition is presented in the article. Station of measurement was built and the survey on observers were conducted. Surveys were conducted with two values of adaptive luminance and two values of test luminance. These values corresponds with the road lighting luminance. Tested objects were squares with various contrast luminance placed on the white background. Gained results were analyzed and may be basis to the future laboratory and outdoor surveys.

The paper presents 89 selected glass fragments found during the four seasons of excavation in Pelusium, in and around the theater. They represent mostly tableware and lamps dated from the 1st century to the 7th, but most of the material is from the 5th century or earlier. It parallels the finds from the Egyptian Mediterranean coast, and shows close affinities to the glass of Syria-Palestine

The study season of the Czech Institute of Egyptology and the Institute for Classical Archaeology, Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, was undertaken in the winter from February 17–25, 2014. Owing to close co-operation with the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities and thanks to the Bawiti museum officials all of the material of the Czech mission in El-Hayz, excavated during several previous field seasons (2003–2007), was well accessible to us and we were also provided a hospitable and appropriate working space in new magazines. All excavated material, more precisely pottery, ceramic lamps, and an assemblage of small finds and ostraca, was properly and safely kept in large wooden boxes, easily identified and thus ready to work with. All this helped the members of the Czech team to work efficiently and finish the planned activities in time.

Przedstawiono przegląd wymagań dotyczących doboru oświetlenia dla dróg lokalnych oraz wyniki pomiarów i obliczeń parametrów oświetlenia przykładowych ulic. Odpowiednie źródła światła, oprawy oświetleniowe, systemy sterowania i regulacji strumienia świetlnego, zapewniają uzyskanie bezpiecznego, energooszczędnego i atrakcyjnego oświetlenia.

In the paper there are presented some requirements for local street lighting and some measurement results for such roads. Proper lamps, luminaries and control systems for residential roads increase safety and create a nice atmosphere.

The main objective of this article is to confront a complex exegesis history of the parable of ten virgins (Matt 25:1–13) with contemporary attempts to understand it with the application of historicalcritical method. The historical-critical method presents a number of issues from the area of text criticism and editorial process, which have influenced the understanding of the parable throughout the ages. The most important questions concerns the identity of the Bridegroom: is this Jesus or a personalization of social injustice?
