Magnesium and fluoride concentrations in maternal and cord blood (venous and arterial) as well as in amniotic fluid were determined by fluoride ion-selective electrode, atomic absorption and gas chromatography. The concentrations of magnesium and fluoride in amniotic fluid were significantly lower in comparison with maternal and cord blood (p<0,001). The magnesium-fluoride coefficient in analysed fluids did not change specificly according to the age of gestation.
