Modern age is associated with massive deployment of information technology in businesses that are forced to work with a wealth of data and information. Businesses are trying to make the most effective use of knowledge not only from real data, but they often have to rely on their employees' knowledge. Increasing fluctuation of employees and the resulting outflow of knowledge will force businesses to increasingly make use of knowledge management. The article describes the process of looking for the context and the implications of selecting contracts to transform them into information and knowledge on the example of a real business. The verified process is transformed into a design of knowledge system, which results in the recommended generated rule for selecting sales department orders to ensure profitability for the business.

The article present current knowledge system which was divided into two categories: symbolic systems and connectionist systems. Then they have been characterized on the basis of the types, features and the potential use. There are presented methods of assembling the hybrid knowledge system. Basing on the analysis of existing systems, there are shown the decision-making areas which should be followed in the event that an adequate system of knowledge to your organization need to be selected.

The Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System of the European Union (AKIS) can be defined as a network of research institutes, advisory centres, agricultural schools and other non- -governmental organisations, engaged in helping farmers to increase the innovativeness of their farms and solve new economic problems. Among many very important responsibilities of the chambers of agriculture, there are those of an advisory and informative nature in terms of agricultural activity, rural households and earning additional income by farmers. The responsibilities of an informative nature relate to collection and processing of economic information intended to help the producers and other economic operators. The aim of the paper is to assess the activities of the chambers of agriculture for the transfer of knowledge and advice for agriculture and rural areas. The activities of the chambers of agriculture regarding the support in acquiring EU funds implemented under the Rural Development Programme for 2014-2020 by the beneficiaries from particular regions have been analysed. The research methods applied include the analysis of legal acts, literature review and inference. As a result of research carried out, it has been concluded that there is a correlation between the scope of activities of a chamber of agriculture and the rate of absorption of EU funds by particular regions.

System Wiedzy i Innowacji Rolniczych Unii Europejskiej (AKIS) można zdefiniować jako sieć instytutów badawczych, ośrodków doradztwa, szkół rolniczych i pozostałych organizacji pozarządowych, zaangażowanych w pomoc rolnikom w podnoszeniu innowacyjności ich gospodarstw i rozwiązywaniu nowych problemów gospodarczych. Wśród wielu bardzo istotnych zadań izb rolniczych należy wymienić zadania o charakterze doradczym i informacyjnym w zakresie działalności rolniczej, wiejskiego gospodarstwa domowego i uzyskiwania przez rolników dodatkowych dochodów. Zadania o charakterze informacyjnym dotyczą gromadzenia i przetwarzania informacji gospodarczej, która ma służyć producentom i innym podmiotom gospodarczym. Celem artykułu jest ocena działalności izb rolniczych na rzecz transferu wiedzy i doradztwa dla rolnictwa i obszarów wiejskich. Analizie poddana została działalność izb rolniczych dotycząca wsparcia w zakresie pozyskiwania przez beneficjentów z poszczególnych regionów środków UE wdrażanych w ramach Programu Rozwoju Obszarów Wiejskich 2014-2020. Zastosowane metody badawcze to analiza aktów prawnych, przegląd literatury oraz wnioskowanie. W wyniku przeprowadzonych badań stwierdzono, że istnieje powiązanie pomiędzy zakresem działalności izby rolniczej a wskaźnikiem absorpcji środków UE w poszczególnych regionach.
