La publicación presenta el documento “El matrimonio entre católicos y musulmanes” aprobado por la XCII Asamblea Plenaria de la Conferencia Episcopal Española, celebrada del 24 al 28 de noviembre de 2008. Como se indica en el título el documento contiene las orientaciones pastorales sobre la realidad y el alcance religioso y social del matrimonio entre los católicos y musulmanes. Con estas orientaciones los Obispos españoles desean prestar una ayuda autorizada a los presbíteros responsables y a los mismos contrayentes.

Artykuł ma za zadanie przybliżyć czytelnikowi kilka kluczowych problemów związanych z uprawianiem polityki przez katolika w kontekście społecznego nauczania Jana Pawła II. W różnych naukach zajmujących się badaniem zachowań społecznych człowieka funkcjonuje wiele definicji polityki, stąd należało przybliżyć stanowisko Kościoła w tej kwestii oraz omówić sposoby powoływania do tego typu działalności. Angażowanie się katolika w politykę rodzi dla niego poważne skutki osobiste i społeczne. Ich omówienie stanowi podstawową część artykułu.

The aim of the article is to provide a reader a few crucial questions concerning being a politician for a Catholic in the context of the social teaching of John Paul II. Different fields of science that deal with the study of human social behavior provide various definitions of politics, therefore, there is a need to familiarize the attitude of the Church in this area and discuss ways of calling to such an activity. By engaging in politics, a Catholic faces serious personal and social consequences. The main parts of the article discuss such consequences.

The history of the Poles in the North Caucasus dates back to the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, but the presence of Catholic priests in this region can only be spoken of at the beginning of the nineteenth century. At first Polish priests only made travels to the Caucasus, but later began to set up parishes to address the spiritual needs of the Poles exiled there. The pastoral activity of the priests was not limited to the sphere of the spirit, but also focused on material help. An important point of their activity was the construction of churches. They collected donations for this purpose themselves and were also constantly supported by the Russian authorities. They were not detracted in their endeavors by the repressions that followed in the wake of the Polish national uprisings or suspicion of proselytism.
