The article discusses the concept of laboratory practical performance test and military traning ground devices such as ballistic vests with balistic cartridges meants for the formation of the three members of the Government Protection Agency (BOR), Prevention Branch Police (OPP) and the Border Guard (SG). Innovation of the method consists of, first of all, the ability to assess the special-purpose products under controlled conditions and to repeat a similar sequence of exercises under conditions similar to use in real conditions. Supplemented by the subjective assessment of ballistic products carried out by the testing users, is to evaluate their psychophysical performance as well as the subjective mental load before and after the planned exercises. The presented methodology allows the credibility of the evaluation results of usability special-purpose, which because of the need to provide a protective barrier against harmful factors of working environment, always arouse resentment and fears of members felt discomfort associated with.

Autor w swym kolejnym opracowaniu, poświęconym wyposażeniu żołnierza przyszłości zajmuje się koncepcją amerykańską. W części wstępnej charakteryzuje proces określenia i akceptacji wymagań dotyczących wstępnego projektu Land Warriora. Następnie przedstawia rozwiązania zastosowane w trzech odmianach amerykańskiego systemu żołnierza przyszłości, tj. w: Land Warrior – Initial Capability, Land Warrior – Stryker Interoperative oraz Future Force Warrior, jak również opisuje stopień zaawansowania prac rozwojowych tego systemu wraz z przewidywanym terminem pełnej gotowości systemu.

In his next article on the Future Soldier’s equipment, the author focuses on the US concept. The introductory part depicts the process of determining and approving the requirements for the Land Warrior initial project. Next, the article discusses the solutions applied in the three variants of the United States Future Soldier system, i.e. Land Warrior - Initial Capability, Land Warrior - Stryker Interoperable and Future Force Warrior, as well as the degree to which the system is developed along with the estimated time by which the system will have reached its full operational capability.

Przedstawiono propozycje ITB "Moratex" unowocześnienia trzech aktualnie użytkowanych kamizelek kuloodpornych, tj.: lekkiej policyjnej na mundur, o zwiększonej odporności balistycznej i zewnętrznej dla służb specjalnych. Przy opracowywaniu ich konstrukcji uwzględniono światowe trendy i wieloletnie doświadczenia Instytutu w zakresie projektowania tego typu osłon balistycznych tułowia. W unowocześnionych kamizelkach zastosowano nowe rozwiązanie konstrukcyjne poszycia wraz z nowymi materiałami i dodatkami, wkłady przeciwugięciowe i materiały dystansowe oraz lekkie kompozytowe płyty kuloodporne. Zaprezentowano unowocześnione kamizelki kuloodporne, opisano ich konstrukcję, przedstawiono podstawowe parametry fizyko-mechaniczne zastosowanych materiałów i elementów oraz wyniki ich badań balistycznych. Scharakteryzowano ich nowe walory użytkowe.

Some proposals from the MORATEX Institute on modernisation of three lines of bullet-proof vests that are currently in use were presented. They were: lightweight overt vest for Police, the enhanced ballistic resistance vest and the overt vest for special forces. At the stage of development the worldwide trends and many-years experience of the Institute on developing this kind of body ballistic armour for torso have been regarded. The new design solutions of covering have been applied into the modernized vests together with new materials and additions, antitrauma inserts, distance materials as well as the lightweight, composite bullet-proof panels. The modernised vests were shown, their design was described, basic physical and mechanical parameters of materials and elements applied as well, as the results of ballistic tests were presented. New useful advantages were characterised.
