Algebraic structures such as Rings, Fields, Boolean Algebras (Set Theory) and σ-Fields are well known and much has been written about them. In this paper we explore some properties of rings related to the distribution law. Specifically, we shall show that for rings there exists only one distribution law. Moreover, for the ring (Zp(p-1)n+, ź), where (p, n) = 1 there exist isomorphic groups (G, +), (H, ź), G,H⊆ Zp(p-1)n of the order (p - 1). Finally, we note that every ring (Zpn,+, ź) contains subfields mod(pn).

Let $(Z,T_Z)$ be a minimal non-periodic flow which is either symbolic or strictly ergodic. Any topological extension of $(Z,T_Z)$ is Borel isomorphic to an almost 1-1 extension of $(Z,T_Z)$. Moreover, this isomorphism preserves the affine-topological structure of the invariant measures. The above extends a theorem of Furstenberg-Weiss (1989). As an application we prove that any measure-preserving transformation which admits infinitely many rational eigenvalues is measure-theoretically isomorphic to a strictly ergodic toeplitz flow.

Our research is centred on the stochastic structure of matched open populations, subjected to periodical reclassifications. These populations are divided into sub-populations. In our application we considered two populations of customers of a bank: with and without account manager. Two or more of such population are matched when there is a 1-1 correspondence between their sub-populations and the elements of one of them can go to another, if and only if the same occurs with elements from the corresponding sub-populations of the other. So we have inputs and outputs of elements in the population and along with several sub-populations in which the elements can be placed. It is thus natural to use Markov chains to model these populations. Besides this study connected with Markov chains we show how to carry out Analysis of Variance - like analysis of entries and departures to and from de populations of customers. Our purpose is to study the flows in and out of customers in classes for the two populations and to make research on the influence of the factors year, class and region. We used the Likelihood ratio tests for the hypotheses formulated on the basis of these factors. In our work we verified that major hypotheses were all rejected. This raises the question of what are the effects and interactions truly relevant. Looking for an answer to this problem, we present the first partition to a change in the log Likelihood. This partition is very similar to the analysis of variance for the crossing of the factors that allowed us to use algebraic established results, see Fonseca et al. (2003, 2006), for models with balanced cross.

The concept of a line digraph is generalized to that of a directed path graph. The directed path graph Pₖ(D) of a digraph D is obtained by representing the directed paths on k vertices of D by vertices. Two vertices are joined by an arc whenever the corresponding directed paths in D form a directed path on k+1 vertices or form a directed cycle on k vertices in D. In this introductory paper several properties of P₃(D) are studied, in particular with respect to isomorphism and traversability. In our main results, we characterize all digraphs D with P₃(D) ≅ D, we show that P₃(D₁) ≅ P₃(D₂) "almost always" implies D₁ ≅ D₂, and we characterize all digraphs with Eulerian or Hamiltonian P₃-graphs.

The set of elementary regions of a transition system, ordered by set inclusion, forms an orthomodular poset, also referred to as quantum logic, which is regular and rich. Starting from an abstract regular and rich quantum logic, one can construct an elementary transition system such that the orginal logic embeds into its set of regions, and which is saturated of transitions. We study the problem of selecting subsets of transitions on the same set of states, which generate the same set of regions.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The paper proposes a methodology to study individuals and their institutions by the study of their lifestyles. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: Following Wojtyla’s methodology of studying the person on the basis of his or her actions and conduct, I decided to use similar methodology to answer the question: Are the 19th century Co‑operative Values and Principles still pertinent in the complex economy of the 21st century, and, if so, how can we operationalise them to become vibrant guidelines not only in contemporary business, but also in improving our everyday lives? THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The overview of the research on lifestyle in ethnography, marketing, lifestyle and occupational medicine, and finally criminology shows that unlike values, lifestyle can more easily be operationalized and measured. We both expose our lifestyle and are exposed to the lifestyles of others. Some status‑based lifestyles spread like viruses creating a pandemic of consumerism. These product‑based lifestyles are in complete opposition to the person‑oriented co‑operative lifestyle. RESEARCH RESULTS: An Exposure Model of Lifestyle allows new conceptualization of the isomorphism research. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: The agency based model of lifestyle may be used for constructing diagnostic tools and investigating the very essence of personal motives both in private and work life. This model is supposed to help to investigate to what degree an individual’s lifestyle impacts the functioning of a participative company and whether it is reflected in the company’s success.

The article deals with constructing the discovery of the number of combinations. It stems from the approach of genetic constructivism, which works with the generic model theory, and its research goal was to develop the stages of isolated models, particularly using the phenomenon of isomorphism. Children aged 11–13 participated in the experiment during their mathematics club, in which they worked in groups at first and together at the blackboard afterwards. The results come from analyzing the experiment protocol and a video recording of part of the experiment. In this study, the authors focus primarily on a detailed analysis of individual sub-phases of isolated models under the generic model theory. The experiment highlights the importance of isomorphism as a generalization tool. The authors have identified the obstacles on the way to advanced sub-phases of isolated models. Another contribution is the division of the fourth sub-phase into two separate sub-phases, which has been achieved using the method of atomic analysis.

The article presents a formal scheme of the analogy of proportionality formulated by Józef Maria Bocheński. Bocheński applies his theory to religious discourse in order to claim that the meaning of this discourse does not have to be established exclusively in a negative way, in opposition to the claims made by negative theology. The aim of this article is to show that the application of analogy to religious discourse does not work. Bocheński’s theory is criticized in three aspects.Firstly, by adopting the assumptions of the theory of analogy, one can easily prove that some relations considered within religious discourse are indistinguishable, thus leading to confusion. Secondly, analogy as utilized by Bocheński takes only the formal properties of relations into account, making religious discourse almost materially empty. Thirdly, any attempt to treat analogy as an isomorphism of relations results in difficulties with defining the domains of these relations. The conclusion emphasizes one more fact: the analogy of proportionality offered by Bocheński and applied to religious discourse is simply impractical and useless since nobody uses it.

In this paper, we consider the isomorphism problem of a class of completely primary finite rings R such that if M. is the Jacobson radical of R, thenM3 = (0) and M2 = (0), in the general case (not necessarily the case where the maximal Galois subrings lie in the center). We further obtain the number of non-isomorphic classes in a special case of these rings.

Identification of isomorphic kinematic chains is one of the key issues in researching the structure of mechanisms. As a result the structures which duplicate are eliminated and further research is carried out on kinematic chains that do not duplicate. This dilemma has been taken up by many scholars who have come up with a variety of ideas how to solve it. The review of the methods for identifying the isomorphism of kinematic chains suggested by researchers is contained in this study, including Hamming Number Technique, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, perimeter graphs, dividing and matching vertices. The spectrum of methods applied to the issue of identifying the isomorphism of mechanisms reflects the researchers’ efforts to obtain a precise result in the shortest time possible.

The article is an attempt at explaining the category of logical form used by Ludwig Wittgenstein in his Tractatus logico-philosophicus by using concepts from Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz’s The Monadology. There are many similarities and analogies between those works, and the key concept for them is the category of the inner and acknowledged importance of consideration based on basic categories of thinking about the world. The Leibnizian prospect allows for a broader look at Wittgenstein’s analysis of the relation between propositions and facts, between language and the world. Using the Hanoverian philosopher’s terminology allows for the demonstration of the ambivalence of the concept of logical form in the philosophy of Wittgenstein and also the metaphysical nature of his first book.

The theory of rough sets provides a widely used modern tool, and in particular, rough sets induced by quasiorders are in the focus of the current interest, because they are strongly interrelated with the applications of preference relations and intuitionistic logic. In this paper, a structural characterisation of rough sets induced by quasiorders is given. These rough sets form Nelson algebras defined on algebraic lattices. We prove that any Nelson algebra can be represented as a subalgebra of an algebra defined on rough sets induced by a suitable quasiorder. We also show that Monteiro spaces, rough sets induced by quasiorders and Nelson algebras defined on T0-spaces that are Alexandrov topologies can be considered as equivalent structures, because they determine each other up to isomorphism.

Let S be an integral domain of positive characteristic p, which is not a field, S∗ the unit group of S, G a finite group, and SλG the twisted group algebra of the group G over S with a 2-cocycle λ ∈ Z2(G,S∗). Denote by Indm(SλG) the set of isomorphism classes of indecomposable SλGmodules of S-rank m. We exhibit algebras SλG of SUR-type, in the sense that there exists a function fλ : N → N such that fλ(n) ≥ n and Indfλ(n)(SλG) is an infinite set for every integer n > 1.

W artykule W artykule przedstawiono, że półgrupa charakterystyczna sumy prostej i iloczynu prostego automatów "G" i "AG" asynchronicznych silnie spójnych i ustalone analogi ich rozszerzeń są izomorficzne. Wziąwszy pod uwagę iż półgrupa charakterystyczna określa zdolność do przetwarzania informacji, to sumę prosta iloczyn prosty można uważać za realizację – odpowiednio sekwencyjnych i równoległych obliczeń. Uzyskane rezultaty oznaczają iż owa zdolność nie zależy od realizacji sekwencyjnej lub równoległej (taka sama liczba klas abstrakcji odpowiednich półgrup charakterystycznych).

In this article it is presented that the characteristic semi-group of the direct sum and direct product "G" and "AG" of the asynchronous automatons of the strongly connected and determined analogs of their extensions are isomorphism. Taking into account that the characteristic semi-group determines the ability to process the information then the direct sum and direct product can be consider as realization – the sequence and parallel calculation accordingly. The obtained results mean that this ability doesn’t depend on the sequence and parallel realization (the same number of abstract class of the suitable characteristic semi-groups).

Riemannian foliations constitute an important type of foliated structures. In this note we prove two theorems connecting the algebraic structure of Lie algebras of foliated vector fields with the smooth structure of a Riemannian foliation.
