The proposal of introducing new technologies in the engineer academic teaching for the transport infrastructure engineering run at the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław since 2012 is presented. The attention was given to the two main issues: − improvement of attraction and effectiveness of professional internships, − introduction of digital tools in education of transport infrastructure engineers. The collaboration with research institutes and rail and road authorities in to order to realize master’s theses is proposed. The procedure of realization of the master’s thesis is analysed. The e-learning ideology was presented, in particular: the service system, the participants of e-learning system, authorization of participants, kinds of didactic materials and the manner of their preparation, the kinds of courses and evaluation systems (tests, analysis of tasks, and also the manner of assessment of participants activity, by means of e.g. a questionnaire). Special attention was give to didactic staff’s participation in courses on methods and techniques of distance education.

One of the important areas of European education is to prepare foreign languages teachers. The issues involved in the Austrian educational system are worked out by both foreign and domestic scholars: O. Lokshyna, L. Zahorulko, L. Kartashova, N. Kohut, O. Denicheva, L. Dzevyts’ka, O. Gassner, H. Seel, U. Fritz, B. Friehs, L. Graf, F. Buchberger, M. Schratz and others. Still little attention was paid to the organization and conducting the practical trainings, their types and role for teachers training in Austrian schools. The purpose of this article is to highlight the experience of foreign languages learning and to analyze the features of practical aspects of foreign languages teachers training in Austria. The article deals with the matters of foreign languages teachers training in Austrian higher educational establishments. An important component of their training is the methodological expertise forming, which is closely involved with the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills and abilities. The problem of formation of practical skills and abilities of future foreign languages teachers in their training is investigated. Different organizational forms of practical teacher training in the relationship and in the general context of training are analyzed. The organization experience of foreign languages learning and analysis of features of practical aspects of foreign languages teachers training in Austria are highlighted. Having considered the features of foreign languages teachers training in Austrian higher educational establishments, one could confirm that special attention is given to practical training for teaching in schools and to vocational work in order to verify the correctness of the student’s choice of teaching profession that greatly improves the quality of foreign languages teachers training. Based on the comparative analysis some points, the implementation of which will promote much higher quality of specialists training in Ukraine, are formed. They are: the increasing attention to the selection of applicants for teaching profession using an aptitude test; the introduction of practical training during the first weeks for future teachers training in higher educational establishments; the extension of practical teachers training by reducing the time for theoretical training; the implementation of educational students’ internships in the countries whose language is studied. The further research will cover the issues of academic mobility of foreign languages teachers in European countries as a component of their professional development.

The following paper presents executed at the Institute of Aviation in Warsaw student internship program and a program of industrial internships for young researchers technical universities of the country and from abroad. Many years of experience staff and a modern database of certified, modern laboratories can convey knowledge, the level of which is highly esteemed in the world. Conducted new projects and specialized training organizations in the design and maintenance of the Institute of Aviation enable trainees to familiarize themselves with modern technologies in the wider area around the aviation. The author presented the work program proposed the possibility of potential trainees in the laboratories of aerodynamics, strength, testing equipment and installation of air, environmental and motor. Posted framework programs, which are carried out by students and trainees. At the end of the shows achievements, and plans for the future. Run this way MARKETING Aviation Institute allows popularize unit in the country and abroad. Measurable benefits include contacts with similar companies in the world, as well as gaining a new perspective valuable employees.

W poniższej publikacji przedstawiono realizowany w Instytucie Lotnictwa w Warszawie program praktyk studenckich oraz program staży przemysłowych dla młodych pracowników naukowo-badawczych uczelni technicznych z kraju i z zagranicy. Wieloletnie doświadczenie zawodowe pracowników, a także nowoczesna baza certyfikowanych, nowoczesnych laboratoriów pozwala przekazać wiedzę, której poziom jest wysoko notowany na świecie. Prowadzone nowe projekty oraz specjalizowane szkolenia w organizacjach projektowych i obsługowych Instytutu Lotnictwa umożliwiają praktykantom zapoznanie się ze współczesnymi technologiami w szeroko rozumianym obszarze około lotniczym. Autor w pracy przedstawił możliwości programowe proponowane potencjalnym praktykantom w laboratoriach aerodynamicznych, wytrzymałościowych, badania osprzętu i instalacji lotniczych, środowiskowych i silnikowych. Zamieszczono ramowe programy, które są realizowane przez studentów i stażystów. W zakończeniu przedstawiono dotychczasowe osiągnięcia, a także plany na przyszłość. Prowadzony tym sposobem marketing Instytutu Lotnictwa pozwala spopularyzować jednostkę w kraju i za granicą. Wymierne korzyści to kontakty z podobnymi firmami na świecie, a także pozyskanie w perspektywie nowych cennych pracowników.

Apprenticeships offered to students and graduates are an integral element of the educational process of the modern educational system. The training program that takes into account the school’s profile, knowledge, skills and competences gained throughout the education by the graduates in connection with the conditions and needs of the modern labour market constitutes a major challenge for the apprenticeships` organizers. Purpose: At present, one of the most important challenges faced by employers is to find, employ and retain talents. Attracting the best interns can be the way of creating the company’s brand as an attractive employer for Generation Z. The management of an internship programme with good preparation can strengthen the employer’s brand from the close supervision of engaged mentors and managers. The aim of the research is to identify the impact of the assessment of the internships carried out by students on their perception of the employer brand. Design/methodology/approach: The survey has been conducted in Poland in the period 2019-2021 among 789 full-time students in different fields of study. The paper presents a quantitative analysis of the obtained data in the cross-section of the respondent's study level (bachelor’s and master’s). The theoretical part of the article explained the essence of employer branding in a contemporary organisation and the meaning of internships as an employer branding tool for Generation Z. Findings: The answers of respondents reveal that the overall assessment of the internship affects their willingness to work at the given company and to recommend the company to others. The experiences gained during the internship, mentors involvement, and the way the internships are prepared and carried out by the company, have an impact on the assessment of the employer brand and influence the decision of Generation Z to participate in recruitment processes in this company as well as the selection of this employer as the future workplace. Research limitations/implications: The size of the surveyed group does not allow for the formulation of general conclusions. However, the obtained results may be the basis for further in-depth studies on the problem. Similar research could be conducted to establish the opinion of employers and university representatives with a broader consideration of other variables. Practical implications: The conclusions of the study will deliver the enterprises valuable information about the importance of internships for the acquisition and retention of future employees from Generation Z, and building the employer brand in the labour market. Originality/value: The obtained results allowed to fill the research gap concerning the perception of the representatives of Generation Z regarding the student internships in the context of the assessment of employer brand.

The University prepares young people for full participation in social life by providing knowledge and skills as well as developing practical professional competences. Responsibility for the future of young people reinforces the need to reconcile the identity of universities as centers for the development of thought with practical education. The aim of this article is to show the activities of the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow, enabling students to combine academic education with professional preparation as part of an internship project. The article describes this project, its context and practical significance.

Artykuł podejmuje tematykę udziału bibliotekarzy w różnego typu stażach i warsztatach organizowanych w ramach unijnego programu Erasmus, którego poszczególne edycje omówiono w skrócie. Skupiono się przede wszystkim na roli najnowszej edycji Erasmus+ w podnoszeniu i poszerzaniu kwalifikacji zawodowych bibliotekarzy. W celu udokumentowania i zobrazowania przydatności tej formy edukacji przeprowadzono wśród pracowników bibliotek najważniejszych uczelni krakowskich ankietę, będącą podstawą do analizy tego rodzaju przedsięwzięć pod kątem ich wpływu na osobowość pracowników oraz ich rozwój zawodowy, mający przełożenie na działania podejmowane w miejscach pracy.

This article describes the contributions of librarians to the various types of traineeships and workshops organized by the EU Erasmus programme. It focuses mainly on the role of the latest edition of Erasmus in raising and expanding the professional qualifications of librarians. A survey was conducted among academic librarians of universities in Krakow, which aimed to show the impact of the programme on the improvement of the professional qualifications of librarians.
