The paper presents numerical modeling and simulation of impact tool with contact of substitute soil. Neoprene plate is used as the substitute soil. The results of numerical simulation are compared with experimental results. FEM System ABAQUS/Explicit is applied to solve the numerical problem.

Vibration isolation is an effective method of reducing vibrations transmitted from the impact tool to the operator without loss effectiveness. The mathematical model describing the vibration isolator dynamic features enables to analyse the influence of individual design parameters on the tool handle vibration level. The paper gives the description of the mathematical model in which the analysis of dynamic properties and experimental tests of the tool are used. A multi-mass model taking into account biodynamic features of the system: hand - arm, dynamic features of the impact tool and designed vibration isolator was developed. An attempt to describe a model of rheological properties of compacted soil was undertaken.
