This article describes a measuring method used for monitoring deformations in wooden grating mining casings. It is intended, in particular, to determine the degree of deflection of load-bearing elements in relation to their original position. It was prepared especially to supplement the technical evaluation of wooden supporting casings in historic mines, underground sections of tourist routes, tunnels etc. The primary reason for the development of this problem were the designs prepared in recent years for large-scale grating constructions at Wieliczka Salt Mine and those for their reconstructions (strengthenings). The article describes the assumptions for the method proposed as well as the measurement system prepared. At Wieliczka Salt Mine two chambers with grating casings were selected and these were equipped with measuring devices. This paper presents the characteristics of these structures, the distribution of the devices installed and the course of the measuring process.

Proces adaptacyjny obiektu podziemnego ma charakter interdyscyplinarny nie tylko ze względu na specyfikę techniczną obiektu, ale również ze względu na implementację warunków technicznych i wymagań technologicznych. W szczególności interwencja ta dotyczy koordynacji wymagań związanych z bezpieczeństwem użytkowania (aspekt prawny) oraz wymaganiami ochrony dziedzictwa, efektem tego jest poszukiwanie priorytetów w poszczególnych dziedzinach, które należy uwzględnić w procesie adaptacyjnym. Interwencja zewnętrzna, w podziemne struktury przestrzenne i geologiczne, dotyczy przede wszystkim zabezpieczenia, czyli oddziaływania środkami technicznymi dla przedłużenia trwałości obiektów, likwidacji procesów deformacyjnych w obrębie wyrobisk oraz poprawy ich stateczności. Nadrzędnym celem tego typu ingerencji, w procesie adaptacji, jest przywrócenie pierwotnej wartości użytkowej, tzn. wartości funkcji. Podstawą prac powinna być analiza porównawcza istniejących cech morfologicznych obiektu podziemnego z wymaganiami przestrzenno-technicznymi stawianymi nowym funkcjom użytkowym. Dotyczy to szeroko rozumianego bezpieczeństwa użytkowania wynikającego z implementacji ustawodawstwa prawnego odnoszącego się do budownictwa tradycyjnego nadziemnego. Proces udostępniania zabytkowych podziemnych wyrobisk w zakresie bezpieczeństwa użytkowania stanowi przykład synergii interwencji górniczej, budowalnej i architektonicznej.

The adaptation process of an underground facility is interdisciplinary not only due to the technical specificity of the facility, but also due to the implementation of technical conditions and technological requirements. In particular, this intervention concerns the coordination of requirements related to safety of use (legal aspect) and heritage protection requirements, resulting in the search for priorities in individual areas that should be taken into account in the adaptation process. External intervention in underground spatial and geological structures concerns primarily protection, i.e. using technical means to extend the durability of objects, eliminate deformation processes in the workings and improve their stability. The primary goal of this type of intervention, in the adaptation process, is to restore the original use value, i.e. function value. The basis of the work should be a comparative analysis of the existing morphological features of the underground facility with the spatial and technical requirements for new functional functions. This applies to broadly understood safety of use resulting from the implementation of legal legislation relating to traditional above-ground construction. The process of making historic underground workings available for safe use is an example of the synergy of mining, construction and architectural intervention.
