Chronic kidney disease is one of the diseases with high morbidity and mortality, commonly occurring in the general adult population, especially in people with diabetes and hypertension. Scientists have researched and developed intelligent medical systems to diagnose chronic kidney disease. Nevertheless, healthcare services remain low in resource-limited areas, and general practitioners are very short of clinical experience. Identifying chronic kidney disease in clinical practice remains challenging, especially for the general practitioner. This study proposes a model to develop a model for improving the efficiency of differential diagnosis. This paper presents a model consisting of a fuzzy knowledge graph pairs-based inference mechanism by accumulating the new rules to enrich the fuzzy rule base. A real-world dataset is gathered in Dien Bien hospital to evaluate the performance of our proposed model.

Absenteeism in most companies is a current and worrying theme, which brings heavy workload, lack of motivation and dissatisfaction in the workplace and represents additional costs for businesses. In health institutions, while large organizations, absenteeism also requires special attention, because the final product involves health care for humans. To analyze and understand the concept of absenteeism, we performed a study through interviews with managers and employees in a health institution (constituted of hospital and health centres), located in the Alentejo region, in Portugal, to get a better perception of the causes of absenteeism and adopted measures to deal against absenteeism. Absenteeism was analyzed as two distinct components: external absenteeism (prolonged absences) and internal absenteeism (breaks in the workplace). Measures that aim minimizing absenteeism levels existing in the institution were presented.

Dzięki temu mogliśmy lepiej dostrzec powody absencji i środki stosowane do walki z nią. Analiza absencji została przeprowadzona z jej podziałem na dwa ważne komponenty: absencję zewnętrzną (nieobecności długotrwałe) i absencję wewnętrzną (przerwy w miejscu pracy).

Badanie pozafinansowych miar efektywności poprzez zdolności komunikacyjne organizacji, wymaga zrozumienia istoty relacji usługowej i jej specyficznego charakteru.

This study analyses key successful factors (KSFs) affecting health supply chains using a novel ISM-MICMAC methodology. Initially, KSFs were collected from past articles, which were later analyzed through the ISM-MICMAC methodology. Healthcare technologies (HCTs) are regarded as innovative and fastest-growing technologies and have seen advancement in the last few decades. Successful and sustainable delivery of health services is only possible through an effective supply chain and logistics network. However, HCTs confront pressure in healthcare supply chains due to different issues. Therefore, it is essential to evaluate KSFs affecting the successful delivery of HCTs supply chains. After obtaining data from experts, interpretive structural modeling (ISM) results indicated that initial capital, top management commitment, training & experience, new technology and information, information quality, and strategic partnership with suppliers are the most crucial KSFs HCTs supply chain in the Pakistani context. Furthermore, MICMAC analysis categorized KSFs with the help of their driving and dependence power. These results support health strategists and policymakers to understand the severity of the identified top five KSFs and act as a moderator to take care of these KSFs, which would ultimately contribute to the successful delivery of the health care supply chain and improvement of critical health services. This study's results would also be helpful for the supply chain managers of the manufacturing industry in the Pakistani context. This research is one of the initial studies to precisely explore KSFs affecting health supply chains using a novel ISM-MICMAC and categorize KSFs with the help of their driving and dependence power by applying MICMAC analysis in the Pakistani SCM context.

Celem artykułu jest zbadanie zakresu i jakości raportów zrównoważonego rozwoju firm działających w sektorze produktów medycznych w Europie i Ameryce Północnej.

The Paper’s goals: For the last two decades, sustainability reporting has increasingly been gaining the attention of managers, and consequently, academicians, too. This is due to the growing interest of a wide range of stakeholders, such as governments, investors, and customers, in non-financial information disclosed by business and public organisations. However, designing and implementing a sustainability report that fits the needs of these different stakeholder groups is a challenge. The differences between the various sectors make this challenge even greater. The focus of this paper will be on the healthcare products sector. The aim of this paper is to investigate the scope and quality of sustainability reporting practices of companies operating in the European and North American healthcare products sector. Research methods: The study is based on the current literature on sustainability reporting and non-financial (NFI) reporting. The empirical part of the paper will be based on a qualitative descriptive research design. Content analysis will be conducted on sustainability reports issued in 2018 and 2019, by 11 European and 8 North American organisations in the healthcare products sector. The nature of the study will be descriptive and based solely on information from secondary data sources. Expected results of the research: This paper will contribute to the international health management literature and to the existing research of sustainability reporting. Based on the findings, the health sector’s sustainability reporting practices will be carefully identified. The authors will also compare the practices of North American and European organisations’, and subsequently, they will define the trends and best practices in this field.
