Cut slopes of deep excavations are particularly exposed to instability due to rebound. One method of their protection is ground anchoring. An example of slope failure is presented in the paper. The slope was made during the construction of an expressroad in 1999. The mass movements have led to damage of a side road performed near the crest. The causes of instability and damage of the side road as well as solutions proposed to protect the slope and road have been described in detail.
