Genologiczne aspekty współczesnych dedykacji drukowanych (na przykładzie formuł dedykacyjnych w powieściach popularnych Remigiusza Mroza)

This article offers a genologic analysis of the printed dedicational texts contained in the popular novels by Remigiusz Mróz. Considering the main aspects, i.e. structural, linguistic-stylistic, and pragmatic, of this genre makes it possible to identify both the conventional elements, that refer to the genre tradition, and the unconventional ones. The purpose of the investigation is therefore to observe concrete textual realizations, and in consequence, by way of generalization, to specify certain genre features of the contemporary printed dedication and draw conclusions concerning the genologic status of the discussed forms of communication. It turns out that most of the genre modifications in the contemporary printed dedication are determined by the changes in the pragmatic aspect of the genre. The analysis of the dedicational texts leads to two main conclusions. First, the dynamics of communication processes and the variability of social and cultural language behaviours changed the communicative purpose of dedication. The communicative intent is not so much the very act of offering the addressee the literary work and the desire to endear oneself to them by it, as creating an image of the sender of the message and the desire to gain sympathy of the witness of this act of offering, the reader. Second, printed dedications published in the contemporary popular novels are realizations of an alternating genre pattern.

W artykule poddano genologicznej analizie drukowane teksty dedykacyjne zawarte w powieściach popularnych Remigiusza Mroza. Uwzględnienie głównych aspektów gatunku, tzn. strukturalnego, językowo-stylistycznego i pragmatycznego, daje możliwość zidentyfikowania zarówno elementów konwencjonalnych, nawiązujących do tradycji gatunku, jak i tych nieszablonowych. Celem badawczym jest więc tu obserwacja konkretnych realizacji tekstowych, co w konsekwencji, w drodze uogólnień, umożliwia wyznaczenie pewnych cech gatunkowych współczesnej dedykacji drukowanej, a następnie prowadzi do wniosków dotyczących genologicznego statusu omawianych form wypowiedzi. Okazuje się, że najwięcej modyfikacji gatunkowych we współczesnej dedykacji drukowanej jest podyktowanych zmianami dotyczącymi pragmatycznego aspektu gatunku. Analiza tekstów dedykacyjnych prowadzi do dwóch głównych wniosków. Po pierwsze, dynamika procesów komunikacyjnych oraz zmienność społecznych i kulturowych zachowań językowych doprowadziły do zmiany przeznaczenia komunikacyjnego dedykacji. Intencją komunikacyjną jest nie tyle sam akt ofiarowania adresatowi dzieła literackiego i tym samym chęć przypodobania się jego osobie, ile wykreowanie obrazu nadawcy komunikatu i chęć zyskania sympatii świadka ofiarodawczego aktu, czyli czytelnika. Po drugie, zamieszczane we współczesnych powieściach popularnych dedykacje drukowane stanowią realizację alternacyjnego wzorca gatunkowego.

Przeprowadzona analiza genologiczna dawnych poradników rolniczych Jakuba Kazimierza Haura prowadzi do kilku spostrzeżeń. U źródeł poradnika leży jeden z podstawowych aktów mowy – rada, porada, powszechnie stosowany w wielu sytuacjach społeczno-komunikacyjnych. Zalążki gatunku pojawiają się pod koniec średniowiecza i wiążą się z literaturą parenetyczną. Choć analiza poradnika rolniczego z perspektywy historycznej jest trudna do opisu z powodu niewyklarowanego w pełni gatunku oraz bardzo zróżnicowanego kontekstu historycznoliterackiego epoki, można uchwycić kilka cech wspólnych i to nie tylko dla poradnika gospodarskiego, ale też innych jego odmian, różniących się właściwie tylko tematyką i słownictwem terminologicznym (intencja użytkowa, wielofunkcyjność, spójna, hierarchiczna struktura tekstu, wielotekstowość, wielostylowość, dialogowy kontakt między nadawcą a odbiorcą, autokreacja nadawcy jako eksperta, podawanie wskazówek w optymalnej wersji, dydaktyzm, perswazyjność). Niektóre z tych cech utrzymają się do współczesnych czasów i zostaną uznane za ważne wyznaczniki gatunku.

The genological analysis of old agricultural guides by Jakub Kazimierz Haur leads to several observations. At the root of the guide is one of the basic speech acts - advice, widely used in communication in many social situations. The foundations of the genre appear in the late Middle Ages and are associated with parenetic literature. Although the analysis of the agricultural guide in historical perspective is difficult to conduct because the genre is not yet fully developed and because of the varied historical and literary context of the epoch, a few generalizations can be made and not only about the agrarian guide, but also about its other varieties, differing actually just in subject areas and terminology (communicative intention, multifunctionality, coherent, hierarchical structure of the text, many kinds of text types, many kinds of styles, dialogical relation between the sender and the receiver, the self-creation of the sender as an expert, giving advice in the optimal version, didacticism, persuasiveness). Some of these features will be continued to modern times and they will considered as important determinants of the genre.

The text constitutes an overview and arranges various models of classification of media genres. The author depicts understanding of the notion of media genre and systematizes knowledge on various typologies (division into informative and journalistic genres, border genres, popular genres or division of genres based on the medium). She also presents the distinction of the genre and the media format. At the same time, the author describes two views on the genres in intra-genre and inter-genre plane, based on the two methodologies of Maria Wojtak and Bożena Witosz. The linguistic genology provides an overview of genre classification with multidimensional, open and blurred patterns of their assignment. The author is convinced that in order to analyse media texts, one should have historical knowledge on clear divisions of the genres and a methodological perspective which would allow comprehension of the complex genological specifics.

The subject of a detailed analysis presented in this article is the Unauthorized Autobiography of Kuba Wojewódzki. A thorough review of the collected source material enabled the author to characterize this popular genre and indicate its role in a media space. The genological description draws attention to four aspects of the genre pattern. The regularities or deviations from the canonical pattern perceived in this area deepen the knowledge of contemporary autobiography and allows one to capture what makes it attractive.

Wnikliwy ogląd zebranego materiału źródłowego pozwolił scharakteryzować ten popularny dziś gatunek oraz wskazać jego rolę w przestrzeni medialnej. W genologicznym opisie uwaga została zwrócona na cztery aspekty wzorca gatunkowego. Zauważone w tym polu prawidłowości bądź odstępstwa od kanonicznego wzorca pogłębiają wiedzę na temat współczesnej autobiografii oraz pozwalają uchwycić to, co wpływa na jej atrakcyjność.

Przedmiotem artykułu jest apel jasnogórski traktowany jako gatunek w formie kolekcji, którą tworzą: pieśń, modlitwa, rozważanie, błogosławieństwo. Na początku omówiona została struktura gatunkową apelu, ze zwróceniem uwagi zarówno na wzorzec kanoniczny, jak i jego modyfikacje. Niezwykle interesująco prezentuje się aspekt pragmatyczny ze względu na skomplikowane relacje nadawczo-odbiorcze oraz złożony potencjał illokucyjny. Można tu bowiem mówić o „rozwarstwieniu” nadawcy i niejednorodnym adresacie. Analizowane przeze mnie teksty reprezentują styl religijny, zatem do głównych wyznaczników stylistycznych można zaliczyć: hieratyczność, formuliczność, metaforyczność i obecność terminologii religijnej. W aspekcie kognitywnym zwraca uwagę chrześcijański i narodowy punkt widzenia, a także kategoria czasu liturgicznego.

The article touches upon the appeal from Jasna Góra, which has been treated as a collection genre including a hymn, a prayer, a sermon and a blessing. At first the author discusses the genre structure of the appeal and focuses on both the canon model and its alternations which determine the identity of the structural model. Special attention has been paid to the delimitation frame, features of a homily and the prayer segment as well as their interplay. The pragmatic aspect is very interesting, especially the complex sender-receiver relations, the effect of the presence of dialogue, a variety of people and a wealth of speech acts. The analysed texts represent the religious style whose most important features are: formulaic discourse, special terminology, metaphors, schematic character. In the cognitive aspect we observe the Christian (especially Roman Catholic) and national point of view. Also liturgical time is a very important category.

Praca dotyczy wykładników komponentu strukturalnego noweli w perspektywie ewolucji gatunku pojmowanego jako fenomen nie tylko literacki, ale także jako element komunikacji społecznej, osadzony w kontekście kulturowym i antropologicznym. Forma generyczna rozumiana jest jako składnik konstelacji gatunkowej, w skład której wchodzi np. anegdota, facecja, opowiadanie. W wypadku prototypowej noweli, czyli gatunku prozatorskiego o krótkich bądź stosunkowo krótkich rozmiarach można mówić o tendencji do zauważalnej stabilności, jako że stan staropolski i dziewiętnastowieczny charakteryzuje się względnym podobieństwem: w obu wypadkach obserwujemy trójdzielny model, choć różna bywa jego aktualizacja. Z czasem rozbudowaniu ulega segment centralny, niemniej wciąż można wskazać trzy podstawowe ogniwa kompozycyjne. Wyraźny jest tu związek z innymi gatunkami spokrewnionymi, przede wszystkim facecją i anegdotą, które – począwszy od czasów antycznych – wykazują silne związki strukturalne z nowelą. Zmianie ulega także rola puenty, która w staropolszczyźnie stanowiła znaczący element struktury gatunku, nawet gdy nie była wyrażona expressis verbis. Nowela pozytywistyczna z uwagi na fakt zmiany tematyki, a tym samym funkcji w uniwersum komunikacyjnym, rezygnuje z puenty na rzecz bardziej skomplikowanego przesłania, leżącego prawie zawsze po stronie odbiorcy tekstu. Kluczem do stabilności strukturalnej noweli wydaje się jej krótka forma, związana z genetycznym dziedzictwem anegdoty jako krótkiej, zwięzłej narracji codziennej, oralnej u swej podstawy.

This article discusses the exponents of the structural component of the novella, as seen from the perspective of the evolution of this genre - understood not only as a literary phenomenon, but also a case of social communication, embedded in its cultural and anthropological environment. The generic form is understood as a component of the genre constellation, comprising such text types as anecdote, joke or story. In the case of a prototypical novella, that is a genre that relies on the form of a short or relatively short prose text, one can observe a tendency towards its noticeable stability, since the Old Polish and the 19th-century status of this genre is largely comparable. In both époques, one can observe the prevalent tri-partite pattern, yet the way in which it was practically realized could differ at times. With time, the central segment of the novella tended to be expanded, yet the three main structural components were easily recognizable. This structural organization betrays a clear link with other related genres, like the joke and the anecdote. These three text types remained in a close structural correlation since antiquity. The role of the story punch line also changed. In Old Polish, it constituted a vital structural component of the genre, even though it was not always overtly expressed. The Positivist novella resigns from its reliance on the punch line, which is owing to the changes in the subject matter and, hence, its role in the communication universe. The punch line is substituted with a more complex message that is almost always placed on the side of the text recipient. The constrained length of the novella seems to be paramount in ensuring its structural stability. This shortness is anchored genetically in the heritage of the anecdote - short and concise, daily life, oral narrative.
