W artykule przedstawiono metodę Monte Carlo. Omówiono deterministyczne i stochastyczne modele matematyczne. Przedstawiono problem bezpiecznego przesyłu gazu. Przeprowadzono symulację metodą Monte Carlo i obliczono prawdopodobieństwo awarii gazociągu, spowodowanej korozją. Omówiono wyniki analizy Monte Carlo.

In this paper the Monte Carlo method was presented. The deterministic and stochastic mathematical models were discussed. The problem of gas transmission safety was presented. Application of Monte Carlo simulation to the estimation of the probability of pipeline failure due to corrosion was discussed. The results of Monte Carlo analysis were presented.

Ostatnie lata przebiegają w polskim gazownictwie pod znakiem permanentnych zmian: organizacyjnych, własnościowych i kompetencyjnych. Prowadzi to do powstawania nowych podmiotów organizacyjnych oraz określenia zasad współpracy między nimi. W artykule przedstawiono najważniejsze z nich. Omówiono skutki jakie, zdaniem autorów wywrą one na działalność poszczególnych służb gazowniczych i odbiorców gazu. Przedstawiono również jak podobne zmiany strukturalne przebiegały u naszych południowych sąsiadów, będących również członkami UE.

The Polish gas industry has undergone permanent changes of various natures during the recent years. The changes concern organization, privatization and jurisdiction and lead to founding of new organizations and defining business relations among them. The most important changes have been discussed in the paper as well as the results they will inevitably produce in the area of gas services and gas consumers. The paper also presents the relevant structural changes which have been occurring at our southern neighbours.
